We went on the last day of the Fall tour in 30 degree weather..Although much had just been hit by a severe freeze, it was beautiful. The tour guides were delightful, the lunch from P.Allen's new cookbook was delicious, and the house exceeded our expectations. I'll be back in the spring when the garden comes alive and can hardly wait.

Enjoyed our visit to P. Allen's farm, we did get to met him and he's very welcoming and just like he is on PBS/TV. We were allowed to roam all over the farm, tour his home and he signed a book for use and we go out photo taken with him. Nice staff and we would recommend a visit there. Nice opportunity.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! We went for my sisters birthday and she is a garden/flower nut. Me not so much but I was just as impressed as she was. Everyone was so lovely and friendly, Lunch was amazing. Well worth the trip and plan to go back in the fall.

Our corporate office is in Little Rock, so they took our team out to P. Allen Smith's for a tour and dinner. We LOVED it! What a charming home, and it was much more expansive that we anticipated. The main house tour was a treat, so beautifully decorated. But the grounds were the best part. We have a lovely dinner on the east lawn, excellent service and just a lovely time. DO not miss this! You will just love it. Give it 3-4 hours and don't forget to shop in the wonderful gift shop!

Great tour and visit with Allen Smith. Lunch was good. You need to wear walking shoes....no walkways or paved paths. You will be walking in grass or gravel. Given plenty of time to look and ask questions.

After hearing from others who had been to the home and farm, I signed on not sure what to expect. I was overwhelmed. This was more exciting that I had anticipated it would be. Even though I went in the winter and it was a dreary cold day, our tour guide Suzanne made the experience so much more exciting by describing what we would see in the gardens in the spring and summer. The home is beautiful and we had a nice lunch in the barn. Mr Smith was there the day I visited and spoke with us at length about acquiring the farm and the work that had gone into it. He is so laid back and friendly with his guests and full of funny stories that kept us entertained. Arkansas is a bit of a drive for me but I want to return in the spring and fall and experience every season there.

Lucy79,We are so happy you enjoyed your tour of Moss Mountain. And it looks like you may be from Lexington, KY -- a beautiful place, as well! We welcome you to return to Moss Mountain later this year -- the fall will bring with it much cooler temperatures as well as a host of events at the farm open to the public. If you have any feedback on how we might improve guest experience, please let me know! We aim for 5 / 5 reviews and want to surpass all expectations. Thank you again for visiting us and we welcome your return. Best,Jim S.Relatinoship Manager, Moss MountainJSumpter@PAllenSmith.com

Beautiful day in may at the garden home and farm. Toured p Allen's home and gardens. He was there for lunch and book signing. A fun and funny talk by p Allen whose personality shines as he tells his story. I plan to return for a different season and to see the exotic chickens and other farm animals.

Decided to take a 3-day jaunt, solo, from Huntsville, AL to Roland, AR to see Moss Mountain, P.Allen's Smith's beautiful Greek Revival home and gardens. My first love is traveling, but a close second is gardening, followed by cooking and home design. Could there be a better place for me to go? Strangely, and selfishly, I did not want anyone rushing me through any aspect of the tour. I wanted to absorb it at my own pace. So, solo was perfect for this trip. First, we gathered on the front porch, and I toured the home with perhaps 60-70 other folks. The home was impeccable. Grace, our tour guide, was the quintessential southern hostess. My impression was that she was relatively new to guiding the tour, as she was still a bit unsure of herself. But, she has "all the right stuff" and with time, I think we'll see her Steel Magnolia side emerge and bring even more character to the Moss Mountain experience. Next, was the garden tour with Suzanne. Stick close to the guide, if you want to hear the details, as there was no speaker system. (That would probably be a nice addition for a larger group.) She was delightful and very "real". The gardens were beautiful, not perfect. But, as everyone knows, we can't truly manage nature. It only let's us think we can. As a gardener, and recovering perfectionist, it was comforting to see that even Allen Smith's garden had weeds and a big dead rose bush. Lunch was delicious and presented beautifully. Allen Smith arrived about half way through the meal and spoke briefly. He answered questions, and signed cookbooks. This experience was absolutely wonderful!! My husband said before I left, "I am scared to see how much this trip will end up costing." I didn't catch on at first, and reminded him that I was using hotel points, so it would be gasoline, food and tour admission. Then I got it. :) Let the spending begin!!

My husband and I toured Allen's homes, farm and gardens at his Moss Mountain Farm. Allen is an incredibly warm, charming, informative, and very funny host. His staff also prepared lunch from Allen's cookbook which was fabulous. This for me is undoubtedly one of the top attractions in Arkansas. A must do for everyone's bucket list!

Beautiful grounds and great decorating in the home, but what I liked most is you can stroll the house and grounds at your leisure. P Allen was there for lunch and is charming and interesting. Lunch was a delicious salad and pie. This visit is a chance to meet others interested in gardening so if you like gardening you will meet a lot of interesting people.
