great place for a swim in the Mediterranean, nice, quiet beach, crystal clear water, very rocky, it was about an hours walk from the port but it would be easy to cycle to.

not exactly a beach (no sand or such) but worthy going there, very peaceful and amazing colors of water, sky, rocks. Water is very shallow, you can get there by boat too and just get off the boat and walk to the shore.One of the most beautiful spots on Favignana.

For sure the best beach on Favignana. Looks just stunning. Perfect for snorkeling because of very rich underwater life. Although reaching water is not so easy because of angular and sharp and rocky shore. Also that's the reason why there are not many places to lay down comfortably but believe me - it's all worth it.

Beautiful coastal area and turquoise waters for an amazing swim. Make sure you rent a bicycle in town to get here and see the rest of the island. Amazing.

White sand, white rocks and too many shades of blue!!!Peaceful and immaculate place you must visit if you are travelling to Favignana.There are no bars, restaurant or kind of services (there's only a little chiringuito at the top of the mountain), so you should bring with you the luch and something to drink, but it is all worth if you prefer natural sightseen at the place of the tipical beaches with ombrellas !!!

One one the most wonderful beaches I have ever seen : the colours are magnificent : blue of the water goes from clear blue to dark on the horizon. Rocks and waves make it so special and you can not not to go Inside the see. water is so proper. Attention only for meduse, because there are plenty of it and it can hurt.

When the wind is not blowing too hard Cala Rossa is absolutely stunning. we highly recommend Rocco boat (ask around, he is very famous). He doesn't speak a great deal of italian but his food and simpathy is well worth the money!

definitely worth walking down the hill…. do not miss this bay.There are 2 chaps that provide umbrellas and deck chairs...

Beautifully clear water. We rented a car for the day and drove and drove. Stoped at all the swimming locations and swam 5 times at 4 locations.

An awesome crystal water but will not recommend it if you want to lay and relax, cause there is no place to lay on the rocks and to go down in the water the rocks are sharp.. I would recommend to wear the acua shoes.. But it's a must to visit that beach if you are in Favignana..

Very nice , but mainly you can go by boat, the water is nice but cold for my liking me even in the summer. Some spots get so busy with small boats,

When visiting Favignana you have to go to Cala Rossa! Not for swimming, because that can be a bit difficult. But go there for the great colors! You will be amazed, it is so beautiful! You really can't believe that you are still in Europe when you stand on the rocks and look down.Also seeing the places where the rocks have been cut out makes this place a wonderful visit

... but if you want to just chill on a sandy beach then you are better off one of the other wonderful location that the island offers.That being said the location is amazing, the rocky beach makes the water so clean and clear, it is really a must see. You can also walk around to fully enjoy the landscape. Don't forget to bring proper shoes as it might get tricky if you are only wearing flipflop...

Just look at the pictures! The old stone quarry beach is beautiful and crazy. Not the easiest place for swimming, hard to reach the water, but still very worth a visit.
