nefertari's temple of hathor

标题也许感觉有点雷人,但的确是事实。大部分人都往右走,所以Ramses寺庙就人满为患,而Nefertaris则几乎没人,所以参观的时候非常轻松。建筑轮廓非常壮观,里面也非常精美,有很多值得探索的地方。尽管没有大寺庙那么恢弘,但是魅力依然。不过要注意里面禁止拍照,保安们对此非常严格。

阿布辛贝神庙由拉美西斯II世建造,他是埃及统治时间最长的法老。每个寺庙都由四座拉美西斯雕像守卫,其他尊贵的人还有他最喜爱的妻子妮菲塔莉。它背后平静的纳赛尔胡景色为它增光添彩,为避免被阿斯旺水坝水坝淹没,这座建筑移到了原址200英尺外的地方。这是超好的体验!

This was built by Ramesses the 11 to impress his wife and again not at its original location due to the high dam in Aswan but put back together as found both temples stand side by side truly a must to visit.

situated just beside the big temple in Abu Simbel. This place actually surround by a lake. The view is so breathtaking. And it is advisable to take a private tour guide/egyptologist so that you can learn and know the history.

Nefertari's temple right beside her husband Ramses II temple is not as impressive but full of beautiful and delicate feminine figures inside.

Not as magnificent as her husbands monument "next door" but as with all Egyptian monuments it is still splendid and wondrous and hard to believe it was all conceived and built thousands of years ago.

about 100 meters away is the equally impressive Nefertari's Temple of Hathor. Again one of the most impressive monuments of ancient times worldwide

A beautiful temple with astounding statues. Right beside Ramses II temple so easy to visit while in Abu Simbel.

Wow I wish all wives were as honoured and loved as Nefertari! Such a sense of peace and softness here. Pause and really feel into it. The Hathor energy is still strong to those open to it. The Hathoric Columns are particularly beautiful and they gently watch over you.

The lesser known of the two Abu Simble temples. This one was built by Ramses II (his temple is the big one) for his "royal wife" Nefertari (he had plenty of "secondary wives" as well).

This temple is also fantastic, but it's right next to the main Temple of Ramses II and so it pales a little by comparison. But of course you'll go in and look around - it's still incredible.

Not as big as the Temple of Ramesses II, however still a feat of engineering it self. The statues of the king and queen outside are amazing. The inside is amazing of its own right with paintings from wall to wall, unfortunately you're not allowed to take pictures.

The only reason why I haven't rated this 5 star is that it is situated just beside the Ramses II temple.I mean, that kind of steals the show. However, this temple of Nefartari still holds up on her own - with the rich tapestry of ancient paintings all around the temple. Somehow, it felt more peaceful than the Ramses II. Worth the visit!

I felt like I was Indiana Jones as I entered Nefertari's Temple. It was magnificent! Too bad we weren't allowed to take photos! Part reason we couldn't take photos, was because it would harm the ink and dyes in the paints used and also because it would be a tripping hazzard for other tourists since the temple is small and dimley lit.

Great to visit after going to the Temple of Ramesses II. It was very quiet and peaceful inside and out. Beautifully done.
