springhill winery

Madonna was working the day we stopped and she was so friendly and helpful about the area as well as the wines they have at Springhill. This was our first stop of the day and it was helpful and nice. We enjoyed the story of their wine making and their wine as well. They are also a B&B but its in another building. We only went in the tasting room, but it was also a little gift shop. Its worth stopping in for a $5 taste

My wife and I loved everything about our stay at Springhill Winery. We were treated like family by Eddie and Caroline. We loved their stories and hospitality. Our room was larger than I expected and the whole house was extremely clean and well kept. Definitely planning a return visit.

To be fair, we stopped in about 30 minutes before closing, but the tasting room hostess seemed uninterested. The wine was fair to the extent one could taste them, as the tasting pours were stingy compared to other local wineries. We might have purchased, except that she didn't seem to care if we bought or not. The B&B looks intriguing, so I expect we'll give them another try and hope for a better experience. Based on the other reviews I'll hope we can meet owners next time.

The host and hostess of this wonderful B&B and winery are the most fun, entertaining, and pleasant hosts you will ever find anywhere! We have stayed at scores of B&B throughout the years, and this B&B definitely ranks in our top 5 favorites. Huge, delicious breakfast served family style shared with the hosts. Wonderful stories told of the history of the inn and the area. Relax outside on the deck or patio or in the tasting room with a bottle of wine. Really good wines, not a loser in the bunch, some outstanding. You will not find many B&B's that are this enjoyable. The views are not great, the food in restaurants in the area is not great, but take in what KY here has to offer. Tour the KY wine trails, the Bourbon trail, and take a tour of the Thoroughbred horse farms and race tracks. Come back here to relax and enjoy a little wine with the dessert treats offered in the evening in the common living room. You'll will not be disappointed.

Eddie, the vintner seems very knowledgeable and most anxious to share his interest and to explain any questions one might have. Loved the wines. Bought several bottles to open later.
