The Rosendale Theatre is a wonderful place. It is run by volunteers, which helps keep the prices for admission and snacks low. There is an excellent mix of movies and other types of performances at this theatre. You often runs into people you know from the area, as this is a local attraction.

I am a local and this is our beloved theatre that was saved from ruin by our community,so, we LOVE it! Most of the movies are small indies and there are interesting events that happen seasonally here too. And where else can you see 1970's intros and vintage movie trailers?

I enjoy this movie theatre. It's a community operated small, one screen theatre with a stage, also used for shows & productions. This is not a theatre with high back rocking reclining seats. It is an older theatre with seats that date back possibly to the 80's, still comfortable. You can see a movie, have popcorn & a bottle of water for $10. That is a bargain. Movie prices are generally $7Matinee $5, (one size)popcorn $2,$1 refill on popcorn bottled water $1How can you go wrong? And by patronizing this theatre you are supporting the great community of Rosendale.

Art house & mainstream movies, discounted for members but still only $7 for the public. Also hosts community events, theatre, holiday specials like a community reading of the declaration of independence on july 4. A non-profit run mostly by volunteers. Near good cafes & bakeries, too.Make a day of it, stroll on the scenic rail trail bridge over the river gorge, eat, catch a movie.
