This is a very nice park offering the community a place to swim, run, play (tennis, softball, soccer), dance, sleigh ride/toboggan, the carousel, and more!

Playground, swimming pool, beautiful free carousel, its a great place for a picnic and to spend an afternoon! its not very big, but that doesnt matter too much! Its very well taken care of, and everything looks nice!

I have come here to swim, relax, ride the carousel, picnic and play sports. While it is nice there are a lot of teens that hang here that can be loud and fight and it can really ruin that atmosphere.

Attended a reunion of sorts last July. The bathrooms were filthy. The lifeguard on duty told me that they were cleaned 1-2 times per day. I did not see anyone there cleaning throughout the day we were there. There were trip hazards everywhere- bare roots sticking up and holes in the ground where trees used to be. The carousel was clean and well maintained. There is also a problem with neighborhood kids meeting there for fights. Get it together Binghamton. You were given a great gift in these city parks, pools and carousels by the greatest generation. Don't squander it through neglect. Maybe the new mayor will take action.

Nice place to feed the pigeons and people watch...there is a carousel too. Not a big park, but enough room for a stroll.

This is a hidden gem in Binghamton. Well kept and offers many activities throughout the year, including music festivals, tennis qualifiers and bike races. The pool, tennis courts and carosel are an added plus. The only draw back is that it would be nice to have barbaque grills. Even the park workers are great and helpful. In a fast paced world, it is nice to have somewhere so quiant and peaceful to enjoy. Located in the Westside, walking through the streets, Davis, Beethoven, Lincoln and Leroy is enjoyable too. Oh and the carosel is FREE!! Where inthe USA does that happen!

Need to unwind and get back to nature? This is the place to go. Many trails to walk it out. There is something for each member of the family.

This is a good community park in Binghamton that is well kept up. The city seems to be doing more to maintain public properties these days, and the parks are looking very good. There are "new"-looking tennis courts here, an outdoor pool area and bathhouse, and a carousel. Also a place to walk amongst a semi-wooded area.The park has a feel of a different era, and that is kind of a nice aspect of it.

Recreation Park is probably the nicest of the city parks in or around Binghamton. It has a few tennis courts, hoops, a small city pool (where even a small beach ball is prohibited...yawn), merry go round and is a popular place for people to walk their dogs (tip-watch where you walk). it is a city park and not very attractive but better than the others. A few years ago there were all kinds of problems in the park-drugs, people hanging out and some gun firings-but this seems to have quieted down. I have not seen recent articles in the paper about it for the past year and, even with the shootings, I do not think anybody was actually killed in the park. As the area has almost nothing for children, the merry go round in the park is at least something that might appeal to a young child. It is only open in the summer but it is colorful and free. Apparently there was a time when Binghamton had some residents and community leaders who were at least mildly interested in making sure that there was something for kids. The merry go round is about all that is left of that sentiment. There are also swings. I believe that there may still be a sandbox but the number of wondering (and leashed) pets around and litter keep me from allowing my children to go near the "play" area. The park does have some paths to walk.

Vale a pena o passeio. No inverno fica difícil, porque neva muito. Já no outono e no verão é bonito de ver a estação mudando. Tem várias quadras de tenis e piscina também.

Como todo parque de recreação, há muito o que se fazer o ano todo. Quer seja no verão ou inverno, o parque é sempre uma alternativa para quem não quer ficar em casa o dia inteiro.
