I booked a service at the spa while staying at the Short Hills Hilton. There is a large selection of services and the facilities were well maintained. Two considerations however, the changing area is located on a different floor from the services area. This means walking through common areas of the hotel in spa robes. Also the waiting areas in most spas are designated as quiet for guests to relax. Eforea's lounge was however filled with groups and couples who were loud and did not create a relaxing atmosphere.

i got a body revival and she used those rough mits forgive me idont know what they r called but she scraped way to hard like i was bleeding and she says to me i know i have a heavy hand seriously ??then she used those mits and with the same strenghth as i begged her not to do with she scraped my chest so hard they still kill and this happen the weekend today is tue i go for pedi and the woman is so blah and unhappy and no personality like she really hated being there so much i literally felt bad being there

I have not stayed in a room for years however I have been a long time spa member and the services has gone from mediocre to bad to outright pathetic over the past 6 years. They keep raising rates again as I just received letter that my rate is going up again (more expensive then the 12 month old Equinox down the road). The letter spoke about how the rates had to be increased to pay for the new pool umbrellas and to raise funds to improve the equipment. In addition, they are eliminating classes and don't improve any equipment at all. The spa manager Miriam is not friendly or helpful. The locker rooms are continually in disarray and doubt the showers have been cleaned in months. The indoor pool claims to keep children out during the day so spa members and hotel guests can use the pool however the management NEVER enforces this. If anything when they try to the managers just slink away if the guest complains. Because the are so concerned about their tripadvisor review from their guests.The outdoor pool is lovely however it is mismanaged as well. The pool is skimmed daily however it is never scrubbed so green algae continually builds up and the cement is covered in dirt and mud constantly. Lastly, years ago they would keep the pool open for weeks after Labor Day as the weather is still nice during the month of September not this year or last. As I type this review, it is 76 degrees and sunny and the pool has been closed for a week. HOWEVER the pool is in the same condition it was in two weeks ago! (Chairs in same plaice, kids noodles in same place, garbage cans in same place, AND the pool filter is still running). Can someone please explain to the members why it couldn't stay open. I am posting this here because management refuses to acknowledge my emails and phone calls regarding the gym and pool conditions.

Three good friends were very excited about their Spa weekend at The Short Hills Hilton. We managed to have a good time despite the rudeness displayed to me by the Spa Director Miriam Liberman. Unfortunately an appointment I had scheduled for a facial was not in the computer(no fault of mine). Ms. Liberman argued with me for about twenty minutes until she finally investigated and realized another name was mistakenly listed in the computer. She caused me undue stress. She needs to remember that "the customer is always right." She never actually apologized to me.We were all very satisfied with the treatments we received. They were first class. However, the maintenance of the women's locker room was lacking. Many lockers did not work. The laundry baskets were overflowing at 9 AM Monday morning. This is due to poor management.
