Definitely worth a quick stop to refresh yourself and get an Arctic cold drink of some of the purest water around. Located on US 2 just outside of the City of Norway when you come in from the West(turn by the Norway Viking Ship out front), this little Spring is a very welcome and relaxing pit stop on your way down the highway. Discovered back in the 30's while Iron mining, this Artesian Well is incredibly deep and cold and as clear as an Arkansas Crystal! The City has built up a small stone framework for it and maintains a running open pipe from it for anyone who wants to bring some home or just take a lip-numbingly cold drink from the bubbler inside it. Located around it are a few nice picnic tables beneath a stand of tall Pine trees and a sign giving it's brief history, all decorated with flowers and a nice board walk going up the hill. It's a charming and comfortable little place to stop, catch your breath, slake your thirst and relax for abit. Check it out! It’s Free and it’s Good! A Nice little place to stop!

Roadside artesian well next to US 2 just west of Norway. We've stopped here numerous times for the fresh, cold water. It's tested regularly. Well worth it if you're passing by.

Right on US 2 about 10 miles east of Iron Mountain, this a nice stop and easy roadside parking. The sign reads that they were drilling for iron ore in the 1930s, and hit this spring, and it has been flowing ever since. They have a running pipe in the back of the little waterfall. We were there only 10 minutes, and watched 2 locals fill up a bunch of 5 gallon bottles of water. We filled up a couple water bottles and realized why...tasty, clear, cold spring water. One of them told us that it runs all summer, but in the winter it gets turned off, and the town sells the water.Worth the quick stop to see, and taste!
