We have been visiting the museum for 5 years (my son is 6) and I can't say enough great things about it. There are activities for kids of all ages, the staff goes above and beyond with programming that appeals to parents and kids alike. We look forward to the old and the new exhibits and have really enjoyed the summer camps as well. We regularly give gift memberships so that other families can benefit from the wonderful learning and fun the museum promotes. When recruiting employees to the 7 Rivers Region this is something I immediately highlight as it is a real asset to our area. Our museum time is a memory our little one will have forever. Stop on in --- you won't be disappointed!

We have been to the Children's Museum in La Crosse many times and love it! The climbing wall is always a favorite and the staff are so positive and encouraging to the kiddos climbing. Oh and adults can climb to so watch out for the pressure from your kiddos! What's most fun for us is when we bring friends/family with from out of town who don't have access to this great place. Our daughter is often rediscovering new areas with her friends and cousins. A must is the night out at the museum. What a great opportunity for kiddos to meet new kiddos and explore the museum on a friday night. And the special topics days are a blast when students from UWL!!!

We don't often hear that visitors, especially 4 year olds, are bored here. We are sorry to hear that your recent visit to the Children's Museum was not what you expected. Your message indicates that you were here on Feb. 28, which was our 16th birthday celebration. We had many special activities going on throughout the day, which generated lots of positive input from visitors. It is a challenge to balance offering new exhibits and experiences and keeping old favorites engaging. Younger children enjoy and learn by doing similar things over and over, and trying them in new ways as they grow; but adults and older kids often ask "what's new?" We strive to offer a variety of opportunities for the "learning and fun rolled into one" while remaining accessible and affordable. We welcome input from our visitors. Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to be involved in brainstorming about future exhibits and programs that your children and others would enjoy. Sincerely, Leanne Poellinger, Marketing & Development Director, Children's Museum of La Crosse, 608-784-2652 x224 or leanne@funmuseum.org.

It has three stories of fun things to do. Water and dinosaurs in the basement. A cool firetruck and tubes and scarves on the ground floor and activities for smaller kids on the 1st floor. Also a make believe Kwik Trip inside and a news stand. Just cool stuff all around!

The LaCrosse Children's Museum is such an asset to our city. There is an admission charge but for anyone who lives here I would definitely recommend looking into the annual membership. For a relatively small fee, you can support the museum AND obtain free admission for one child and up to six additional friends. The museum provides hours of fun for children between the ages of one and a half to 10, I would think. I have brought groups from France there, with the children being aged 13, nine, and six, and they were delighted with the exhibits and the activities. Now I am able to bring my grandchildren there, and even though those children are younger, they enjoy it just as much. I cannot think of a better way to spend a couple hours of sometimes questionable weather than to go downtown to the children's museum. Parking is not a problem; The ramp is less than a block away.

We took our 3 & 5 Year old grandchildren here on their 1st train trip to La Crosse. The train didn't leave until 7pm so we were looking for something to keep them busy for the day and this was the place!! We got here at noon and didn't leave until 4:30. With 3 floors it kept us "busy" the whole time with nice simple activities to do.

We're so glad that you and your son had a good time at the Children's Museum of La Crosse. For future visits, we recommend parking in the Market Square ramp, on Jay Street, just a half block from the Museum. Like all of downtown La Crosse's parking ramps, it offers 3 hours of free parking, and only 75 cents per hour after 3 hours.

My 2 year old loves playing here, especially the camping area, fire truck, dinosaurs, and grocery/convenience store. There was also a morning craft, followed by a song and snack. Our admission was free due to a reciprocal agreement with our local children's museum where we were members.

My three year old loved this Children's museum! It had a lot of fun things right up his ally- a fire truck, a crane truck and a water table. Besides the climbing wall, I'm not sure how much school aged children would enjoy, but overall we had fun and my son keeps asking to go back.

My daughter and grandchildren live in Oregon. They have been to many children's museums and they thought the museum in La Crosse was one of the best they had been to. We spent an hour and a half there and wished we could have stayed another two hours.

My 6 year old son loves this place. Stop once every year. Tiny Kwik Trip store is always a favorite. Only thing that sucks is you have to park on street and admission is $6 for all ages.

I took my 18 month old son here and he thought it was amazing. They have an area dedicated to kids under 4. They are all hands on and there is a lot to keep them busy. We spent two hours there and I am sure we could have stayed longer. It is easy on the wallet to. Decent price to get in and I found a coupon on there website. I plan on possibly getting a membership so we can keep going back.

If you had kids that are active, this is the place to go! It's worth the fee to enter. There are rotating displays that are all interactive. There are also crafts and often times special shows. Great for one kid or a large group. Staff is helpful, the museum is clean, check out their website to see special events.

We bought our grandson a museum membership but the daily entrance fee is worth every penny if you have to occupy young children. Plenty of hands on activities and displays for every interest from the climbing wall to the dinosaur maze, the firestation to the mini kwik trip and the shadow wall is always fun.

Great place to take kids and grand kids. Mine loved the climbing wall, Kwik Trip for kids, bank, toddler area, river exhibit with hands on water feature, and dinosaur maze. Three floors of activities and fun.
