This is a very nice park to go for a picnic and walk around the trails or have party in the hall. I rented the hall and gazebo for my husband's surprise party and we had a blast. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are clean and very reasonably priced. Definitely a great place for family and friends to get together. There are trails that go all the way around the lake for a walk and a playground for the kids to play.Plan on returning in the spring for a day a kayaking:)

The grounds are well-maintained and the maintenance staff was actually on the grounds. There are always families and others around so that you can go by yourself running or walking, but not feel like you're out in the woods all alone, unsafe, as a female out there alone. The trail is clean, free of debris, so you won't trip, etc. Even if you are not a featherweight, you can run on the trail with no problem (unlike on the concrete) because it is springy with some give so you can even bounce. I loved that about it. You are running on feet and feet of pinestraw packed down and constantly refurbished by the pine trees naturally. It does seem like the people who maintain the trail improve it, because I've run on other trails like this, but it was never this springy and comfortable on my knees and feet. It was really cool.I say, great place to walk or run with choice of trails and endpoints.

This park has fishing ponds and trails with a really challenging 18 hole disc golf course. Only minutes off of 95 exit 8. Make sure you bring golf discs that float as water is in play on many of the holes!

i first found this park when they held a class there. and I've been back many times since. Right pass the hospital, it's a quiet spot with picnic tables and bbq pits to use. a nice lake and in the back of the building are rocking chairs.

Small adventures! Fun play area, picnic area, gazebo over the water, and short walking trail to explore plenty of nature.

The park is beautiful. If you go into the building, walk out on the back porch - sit and look out at the quiet beauty. Also, great for meetings and family reunions - bbq pits are available as well as a playground for children. Worth a vvisit.

This is a great park to rest, relax, and go hiking. It's also within 5 - 10 minutes from I-95 (with signs directing you to the park) so it's a great excuse to stop and stretch your legs after a long car trip. This park has a playground for the little ones, plus hiking trails, Frisbee golf, and fishing for the adults so this park has a little something for everyone.When I was there, I was taking a break for the highway en route back home and I hiked one of the trails that circled one of the lakes at the park. Definitely put my mind at ease and made me forget that I was trying to get back home. So if you're traveling into SC from Savannah, GA, just drive five miles past the Welcome Center to Exit 8 and follow the signs

Why stop at welcome center or rest area when you can just as easily get off I-95 at Exit 8 in Hardeeville and in three minutes be in a beautiful park?This county facility is a hidden gem. It's a great place to have a picnic, go fishing, or even play Frisbee golf along "The Sarge" disc golf course. They have a nice pavilion facility overlooking a pond, in addition to a playground area, covered picnic area, and a 1/2 mile walking trail that loops around the pond.
