We have stopped at the dam several times over the years. The kids have always had a great time checking everything out. There is always a friendly staff.

We visited this place on a whim. What a surprise!! The museum here is well worth the visit. The facility is a great place to visit for families. The fish ladders are wonderful to watch especially during spawning season. We highly recommend visting this facility if you are nearby.

This is a great place to stop for a stretch break or in conjunction with a tour of Rocky Reach Dam. It's also a pleasant place to just take some time to relax and view the scenery along the Columbia River. The park is well maintained and has some beautiful flower beds during the growing season. Pretty much ideal for a picnic, too.

Rocky Reach Dam has a large open grassy park. There are trees, covered pavilions and a children's play area at the north end near the dam. The gardens are planted with flowers in a different design each year. There is parking and easy access to walk up to visit the dam. Inside the dam is a window to watch the salmon or any other fish that use the fish ladder. There is an electricity exhibit and Native American history exhibit. The dam has a small restaurant for snacking if you don't happen to have a picnic to enjoy in the park.

The museum had a lot to see about the area. Well done. Be sure to go downstairs and watch the fish swim by the window.

We enjoyed our visit - great gardens around the dam, interesting observation deck and a really interesting museum -- something for everyone in our group!

It's nice to be able to go in and visit the dam as many of them are restricted access. Be aware you still have to pass through security to enter, but it's not difficult if you are following the rules.Views of river are nice, and is popular when the fish are migrating through. Not too far out of the way, just north of town. Worth a visit, less busy than some of the larger Mega Dams further down stream.

We visited the Rocky Reach Dam during our stay in Wenatchee. There is no fee for this. It has a museum and tells the history of the Chelan Valley. It is very nicely laid out with lots of information talking about the building of the dam. You can also see the fish swimming up stream for spawning. Rocky Reach is just one of the many dams on the Columbia River and is well worth the 2 hours or so to visit. The day we went, we had the added attraction of the "Dive Team" showing off their equipment and learning how they operate. Don't miss it
