Beautiful golf course in perfect condition.....playable for all....scratch to +18 handicappers. A great value located a short drive through the mountains from Reno Nevada...worth every minute and dollar. Scenic beauty on every hole.....don't miss it.

We had lunch here on a warm and clear October day. The restaurant and golf course sit on the top of the hill in Tahoe Donner, so the views of Truckee, the mountains and the golf course are fabulous. The food was good and reasonably priced

This course offers a first class challenge with outstanding views on almost every hole. Playing conditions are always good and the holes are all very different....My first choice for quality golf in the Sierra's....If you are a serious golfer don't miss this beauty....1/2 the price of Edgewood and 3 X's the course....an hour drive from the South Short Lake Tahoe..

The mountain views are eye catching. The golf course design is "unique" as it is squeezed into the mountain side. No driving range. Warm up into nets with 4 places to hit from. The putting green is extremely sloped. Hard to get a feel for what you will face. The front nine on the course was very enjoyable except for #4, a reverse camber dog left left to an uphill green. The back nine is "different". Much said about #13. You should negotiate a practice ball shot with your foursome. It plays about 4 club lengths less than the distance. No bail out with hazard front and back. On our first try, my son hit over the green into the foursome on the next tee box! The 14th is the opposite. Hit a seven iron to the fairway straight on, and gap wedge to the green. It gets better. Number 18 is a mountain climber hole. Only (approx) 300 yards. Hit tee shot down hill and then hit to a tiered green several hundred feet uphill to a flag you cannot see. Worse than the second shot at Pebble. number 6. Review the course before you play, or buy a book at the counter. Pace of play was fine.

Golf course is near immaculate. Wonderful layout. Challenging, fast greens. Played every shot in my bag. Fabulous course.Paradoxically, I had an AWFUL experience. Had 7:30 tee time. Was allowed to enjoy a FIVE HOUR ROUND from a 7:30 AM tee time because there was no marshal anywhere to be found. Foursomes ahead of us were terrible golfers, playing from unmarked tips when they should have been hitting from whites, searching for their tee shots off every tee (seriously, these guys were terrible golfers), hitting multiple balls while the course backed up, wouldn't let us play through. One par 3 we waited 25 minutes to play it (yes, I timed it). No marshal anywhere to be found. Inexcusable. I literally had ZERO shots today where I didn't have to wait...forever to play my shot. PAINFUL. No cart service at all, either. Shared complaint w/ somebody in pro shop; he didn't seem to care at all. So, course is awesome. But if you are a good golfer looking for a good experience w/ normal pace of play and rhythm to your round, better get 1st tee time.

It was my first time and I really liked it. There is a lot of hills and it is very challenging course. The fairways are in perfect condition. Water comes into play in some holes. I play in the morning and it was expensive but it was worth it. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent.

I won't boor you with hole by hole details because there's no need. The entire course is spectacular! I don't think there's even one bad hole or compromise in design. Tees, greens, fairways, rough and bunkers were all in perfect condition! Lots of elevation changes. Appropriately challenging, but very playable for anyone whose handicap is about 30 or better (playing the correct tees). But we all know you can get impeccable conditions on lots of courses. What Coyote Moon adds to the value is gorgeous scenery and solitude. I've played high-end courses all across the USA and Canada and I would rate Coyote Moon as THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COURSE I'VE EVER PLAYED that isn't on the shore of an ocean or lake. GREAT VALUE!One cautionary note: If you are travelling from Lake Tahoe to Coyote Moon, DO NOT take Hwy 89 up the west side of the lake unless you are not bothered by hairpin mountain switchbacks with no guardrails. It is much less stressful to go up the east side and through Incline Village.

This golf course is beautiful, set in the pines with amazing views! The breakfast was great! My kids loved the squirrels and we even saw 4 deer run across the green!

Easily one of Truckee/Tahoe's most scenic and aesthetically pleasing golf courses. Enjoy an incredible golf course as it weaves through pines, along ridges, around ponds, across rivers, and down a cliff. You won't be disappointed.

Coyote Moon is one fine golf course. Rolling hills, water, traps all challenge to make this a venue worth re-visiting.

Absolutely one of the most gorgeous golf courses I have ever seen. Beautiful scenery of towering pine trees, ponds, etc.

Truly Wow! This is the best course that I have experienced!!! It is pricey, but I am glad to have played. As good as Incline Championship and Edgewood golf courses are in this area, Coyote Moon is better look/experience. The great mountain landscape with beautiful fairways, wonderful greens, lots of pine trees, and fresh high-altitude air (be care not to exert fast movements which leads to shortness of breath). Your ball flies a bit longer (7-10 yards). I recommend golfers to at least play there once in their lifetime. I like to return in the future.

Golf was great, snack bar was too much filler, not enough meat! They still owed me the beer I was promised with my greens fee. Decent pro shop for end of season

This is a must play golf course when in the Lake Tahoe and Reno area. You'll enjoy plush fairways and fast greens. The entire course is well manicured so you'll always have a good lie. The scenery is so beautiful and calming that you cannot get angry at your poor shots. Just hit the ball then enjoy nature among the majestic trees that line the course.

staceleong

Superbly maintained fairways and greens. Plenty of tight holes on the back 9 and the greens play fast in the afternoon. The mountain views are fantastic and I would definitely play this again when we return!
