This place was tons of fun. Visited for a family member's birthday and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. The people working were nice and the kids had a great time. There were craft style activities available and things to keep the kids BUSY! Fun time for everyone.

The train exhibit is amazing, with much detail. The kids enjoyed the play area. A little pricey, but there is so much detail to the exhibit, that I am sure it was pricey to make. Did not do the maze. Big gift shop, seemed to be priced average.

This is a walk thru layout. It is above your head and below your feet, it is at eye level and every vignette is a different period of time. It has many automated and animated features. There is also a sight hunt where you have to find certain things within the many layouts. There is a store/gift shop and a repair facility plus they change out the rolling stock and loco's on a regular basis. There is also a cafe/pizza parlor.

This is a must do for any model train enthusiast or Thomas fan. I really enjoyed the detailed rolling stock and the scenery it winded through. My 2 1/2 year old grandson loved that, as well as the ride on Thomas, and the several sets to play with in the kids play area. The model of Coney Island was really nice too! We will return in the summer to enjoy the outdoor displays!

This is an awesome place for kids and adults. Trains are amazing, especially when you have a lot of trains inside a large warehouse with beautiful settings. It is amazing all of the small details there are. There is also a Fun House section where kids learn about physics and science, which is amazing. a nice cafe and a train store. Thomas train rides for Kids and adults in summer.

My grandkids enjoyed this experience. We had a lot of fun with our grankids here. Lots of hands on fun for all. Food was good.

Went there to see the train display but there are so many other options.Nice snack bar, so it's easy to make a day out of it.

Our kids had fun here. Nice little side excursion. Obviously my kid who likes trains thought it was the greatest place ever.

My wife found this and as it is only about 15 miles away, she thought we should check it out before our grandson's (age 2) next visit. We got do-it-all passes for $12 (January special), so we were able to do both the train display and the fun house. I wasn't sure I would like it, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The train stuff is very cool, basically in 3 sections representing the early years, the 40s and 50s, and modern era. Also a cool "replica" of Coney Island. The fun house part was indeed fun, although more than a little disorienting in places! I can't decide if it would be worth $10 just to go to the fun house without seeing the trains, but I don't think I would do that anyway. The shops are also very good. We will definitely be taking our grandson to the train part (which includes children's play areas) as we are absolutely sure he will love it.

This was our 2nd visit to this attraction since 2011, and we just can't get bored of seeing this awesome layout! My father, my friend Grant and I visited and had a blast! I even recorded some footage of this layout and I am coming up with modeling ideas for my model railroad at home in Bremen, Ohio. I hope to come back again soon to get more video footage once they start updating their layout.

Great day trip for cabin fever. Kids loved playground. They spent almost an hour there. We all loved the train displays. Did the funhouse which had some cool things. Whole time was about 2-3 hours. We have been here before and think the prices are a little on the expensive side but the Groupon is what made us come back.

My entire extended family visited this train museum. My 2 year old daughter to my nephews and nieces (grade school to highschool) to my siblings College to well established professionals were all enjoying this and happy. Its an extremely well developed setup. Well worth the admission.

Great place to see some extremely well done train layouts, but not sure it would appeal to all.Expensive if you are only going to walk through the exhibits, might be different if you were entertaining your children or grandchildren. Some of the street scenes of different cities are wonderful with the lighting and models of office buildings, restaurants, etc. and the historical scenes so accurate in their displays. We spent about an hour walking through and then another half hour in the gift shop which has a lot of train oriented toys, books and signs. Several families were buying model train components, but really nothing there for serious model builders. Something neat to see if at all a train fanatic and in the West Chester area.

The admission fee is $14 for adults and $10 for kids which is a bit expensive just to see a model train exhibit. To their credit, the display is extensive and well done. It chronicles the history of the "iron horse" in America from early work trains to modern day railroading. The 1/24 scale Coney Island exhibit on the mezzanine is a treat for older people from Cincinnati who went to Coney as kids. Some of the sound buttons didn't work but for the most part the exhibit appeared to be well maintained. We went during the Christmas display and that was disappointing - some old nostalgia and a bunch of fake Christmas trees. They have a gift shop, a hobby shop and a small cafe with a very limited menu. We went after Christmas on a weekday afternoon and the place was full of kids on school break. We probably would have stayed longer and read more of the information that was posted but the noise and general pandemonium was a bit much. Parking is free. If you decide to go, allow 1-2 hours to see this exhibit.
