Nice greens, but the tee boxes and fairways need work. Ok, lots of play in season, but please. better than some, but not many.

Followed only by Turnberry Isle, the Diplomat is the best golf course within a stones throw of North Miami Beach. It's a great family resort with free green fees and rentals for kids after 3pm. And adults only 70$ to boot, for a Championship Golf Course at that.

This is a nice centric golf course. Well kept and carts in good condition. There is valet parking and they will send your clubs to the starter.

A top notch golf course. Carts with GPS, layout is challenging. A short distance from the hotel. Shuttle or drive.

Once a great place, now on a slide. The spa is closed, so is the hotel. Just a shadow of the former glory

Having played this golf course now a number of times I think its one of the best courses in our country. It is superior to Doral's Blue Monster both prior to Trump and after. It is a great big beautiful championship layout that can be very intimidating to many players with higher handicaps. It sometimes has a slight drainage issue, but this is overcome with such a diversity of various challenges that it does not take away from the overall impact of a great golf course. Sometimes the rounds can be slow, but that's because it part of the resort atmosphere that comes along with being an oceanside resort or at least near the ocean. As of now the price to play there is quite good comparing to Trump's Doral Blue Monster which is vastly overpriced. I won't play that again for that money. I reallly love the Diplomat.

I live 5 minutes from this golf course & is my go to course when availble & the round is reasonable from a cost perspective. The course itself is very nice, it's a Troon so you know it's quality. It is a tough course. Yesterday I quit after 9 holes as we were approaching hour 3, I'm not kidding. We teed off at 11:30AM. This is the second time that I have had to quit before the round was complete and I have had 5 hour rounds here before. By the way, it's July not January. I don't even bother trying in the winter time as the rates are well over $100 and the place is always packed. Problem with this course is they give out too many special rates through various providers. In the summer time I have played here for $30, ridiculous rate for a course of this quality, including range balls and cart. So they attract tons of people, including some that shouldn't be playing this type of course. When I mentioned that I had to quit after 9 & my dissatisfaction to one of the staff members, he answered, yes I know, we have too many people that don't know how to golf here today. In my opinion, that shouldn't matter if theyrangers manage the play properly. In fact Troon advertises fast play, 4 1/4 hours at this particular course & make it clear that if you fall behind, you will be moved up holes to make up ground. Problem is, they don't enforce their own policies at this course. So if you don't mind a 5 1/2 + hour round, search the golf discount sites, you can get great rates at this course. Otherwise, pay a little more at other courses around that value people's time & manage courses properly.

Played here in a charity tournament and it was in pretty good shape. Greens were fast and hard but rolled true. Fairways and tees were in good condition and it's a pretty well layer out course. I enjoyed it.

I know it's Florida and keeping greens in good shape is tough, but they could do better. They were uneven, with exposed sand showing through and so hard that it was almost impossible to repair pitch marks. (Good news, you had to really hit one up there to leave a mark. Bad news, enough players did so that there were many, many marks.) Also, the first two holes are incredibly badly marked. I could not figure out where to aim my tee shot on either one, even with the help of the on-cart GPS, and wound up way off track despite hitting the ball pretty much where I was aiming, for once. (A few holes from the end I found an overview of the course, which would have helped - hidden on the GPS, not on the back of the scorecard - which is printed sideways for some odd reason.) The fairways are wide and in decent shape. Lots of water on the front nine, less so on the back, and no real rough assuming you stay out of the palm trees. (There's some spinach-like stuff that passes for rough on a few holes, but it's only an inch and a half deep and super easy to hit from with at most a one-club effect on distance and no grabbing of the hosel.) It was relatively uncrowded on a weekday April afternoon and I finished in three hours, which was great.

had lunch here recently and was extremely disappointed! VERY LIMITED MENU. Since the hotel has closed and the eating traffic is non-existent the food menu has suffered greatly! The menuwas so limited I could not decide what to order. And when my food choice finally did arrive it was sparse to say the least. Don't eat here if you have a hardy appetite!

This course is worth a visit. Well maintained, not too expensive and fun. Good service in the pro shop, great greens - what more can you ask for?

Nice mature golf course. Well laid out. In really nice shape although the greens were a little suspect at time. The greens were like putting on a pool table. I didn't have a 2 put more that once. Couldn't read them to save my life. I would play it again. Surprisingly inexpensive.

Wow! This is a gorgeous golf course , right next to hotel . Very well maintained. Will diffidently go back !

Played here recently and was very impressed with the course. The layout was beautiful, holes long and challenging. The clubhouse very impressive. Nick in the pro shop was outstanding! Great personality and very professional. Would highly recommend this course.
