Nice park on the St Johns river. Great picnic place, boat ramp and rustic camping. Accommodations for large picnics with clean restrooms.

Not a lot to do at this park but is has a really nice boat ramp and piers for fishing off of. Good place to take children to let me try their luck at fishing. You will see alligators, turtles, and waterfowl and the view of St. Johns River is pretty.

This is a small campground (25 sites) on Lake Monroe (St. John's River) in Debary, Fl. by Sanford. My wife and I have camped here twice in a 30' travel trailer. If you have an RV of any significant length ask for a site recommendation from the park staff. They will also reserve your site by simply making a phone call. The sites have water and power. The bathrooms are old but clean. The sites are wooded and private. There are grills and fire rings at each site. There is an area at one end of the park for group camping. We have met four staff members and each of them are friendly and helpful. There are terrific paved bike/hiking trails through the woods. The park has two excellent boat ramps to launch from. I have seen many extremely large boats launched at this location. I know the fishing is good but so far all I can share is other's successful fishing stories, not my own.

I would definitely recommend this campground. Very clean spacious sites. Bike trail, boating ramp, picnic areas. Clean bathrooms. This is our second stay here and will be back. The staff are very friendly. Lots of trees feels like your way out in the woods. Wish our stay did not have to end. Can't wait to come back. Close to local markets.

Free of charge for the park and $2.00 to launch your boat. This was a great small park that had everything to offer. You could camp with hookups, 2 boat ramps, picnicing, playground and miles of bike/walk trails.

Mostly a boat ramp with a small area for the kids. Would recommend unless you are waiting to go out on your boat.

Beautiful park, very natural and untouched. Didn't see a play ground but it doesn't need it. Great spot to do some walking, take pictures, or just observe nature.

Lake Monroe Park is a real gem. Whether you’re a camper, hiker, fisherman, cyclist, day tripper or boater, this park has it all and at extremely reasonable prices. Its open sunrise to sunset and the closing time is posted as you come in the guard gate (changes with the sundown). Entrance fee is $2.00. Volusia County spent over a million dollars adding picnic areas, pavilions, restrooms, floating docks and two very nice double-wide boat launching ramps. This park is situated in a tranquil bay that makes launching a breeze; we launch our 24’ boat easily. The bay opens to the St. John’s River. To the right you head north under Highway 17; to the left you head south into Lake Monroe under I-4. If you’re launching on the weekend get there before 10:00 a.m. because, while there is ample parking, this park fills up fast. The park itself has clean new playgrounds, restrooms, picnic and grilling areas with access to the Lake Monroe-Gemini Springs trail, an outstanding boardwalk and paved bike/ped trail that winds through the DeBary Bayou. Camping for RV and tents is also available at around $22.00. An outstanding facility for the whole family.
