Great atmosphere, the best place of modern art gallery ever visited. I love to spend peace and quiet moments there on Sunday mornings.

Love Danubiana location and space. Large variety of different arts. Very specious offering art styles to suit most tastes. Loved all the displays and the art exhibition was fantastic. Very high quality artwork. Outside scenery is spectacular with the view of Bratislava’s castle. Highly recommending.

I was in Danubiana couple times before extension and I was sceptical about extension as I loved "old" Danubiana and I thought that by extension it will loose it's "soul". I must honestly say that I was wrong! The museum has new face and now I see how it needed extension and reconstruction to show it's whole potencial and to become one of the top museums in the world. I am so glad that we have such a place in Bratislava where I can take my foreign friends. I am proud to be Slovak when I am in Danubiana!

The good news is that there is now a bus service which runs to the art museum from the main city. The #90 bus leaves from the Slovakian National theatre and takes around 30 mins to reach the final stop at the end of the line 'Areal Vodnych Sportov' where the art museum lies. The times are fairly infrequent so it's best to check the timetable online beforehand. Also, there is currently no vendor or machine buy a ticket for the return journey so it is best to buy a spare ticket for the return when you make your journey to the museum. As for the museum itself, I found the art to be far too abstract for my liking!

Beautifull architecture, huge art collection, spectacular location. For me as a Bratislava citizien, its a must see place for every visitor I host at my house. You dont even have to be a modern art lover, it is still breathtaking. The building itself, the park with the sculptures, and the beutifull sunsets seen from the roof. Its an gateaway island from the rush in the city. Its a bit harder to find, but they have the plan description on their website.

I visited this fantastic Museum thanks to a friend of mine of Wien Uni. The location is difficult to find - road directions are not so much and well given - but it worth a lot! A wonderful building of modern architecturereally well built and planned on a part of the Danube, with a fantastic sight. Warm and full of Contemporary Slovack art, art works from the Meulensteen art collection of contemporary works. It is certainly one of my favourite museums in this nation. A must to see if you like modern art and architecture.

During nice sunny december day, tired of christmas shopping, I decide to go relaxing somewhere. In the middle of nowhere, but only about 30 minutes by bus no. 90 from Bratislava city center,(Be careful about the timetable)Through the season, it´s possible to get here by boat from the center.I found beatiful romantic place called Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum.Awesome collection of contemporary art and astonishing park with sculptures at the river bankwith beatiful views.Danubiana is for anyone who is looking for quiet and relax place in today´s busy world.

This museum is new re-opened, and it s even more better for exhibitions, as it was. Now it is on the standart of modern world galleries, with a proper servises for visitors. There are art works from the Meulensteen art collection - contemporary works, and always one actual exibition . But this gallewry is special with its place. If you go for a walk outside the building, you can hear the speach of birds, water and the ALWAYS whiffing wind. And you can feel the magical calmness of this place. It is one of my favorite in my living space.

This museum is re-opened and its a stunning collection of modern contemporary art in a gorgeous location. It's not easy to find & it's a bit far out if you don't have your own transport but I very much enjoyed this collection in a lovely modern building. Well worth an excursion if you're visiting Bratislava. Cafe wasn't open when I was there and I didn't like the "5 star hotel lobby music" playing throughout the museum which is quite unnecessary in my opinion and even a bit off-putting. I loved the sculpture park & the giant sized paintings inside.

This place is not heavily marketed, so you have to make a bit of effort to find out about it.We visited last Sunday and were very impressed. The place is well signposted once you come close to it. The parking is free. The staff is very helpful, there is also a nice shop full of interesting books on design, painting and photography. The building is amazing, this place was built to a high standard. It sits beautifuly in the middle of the river Danube, and you can see swans on the river. There is a very interesting exhibition on right now. We were lucky with the weather and really enjoyed the walk in the garden and on top of the roof of the building, admiring the beautiful art works. There is so much to look at!The staff told us, that a cafe will be opened soon, I guess this is the only service missing. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet this place was, there were people around, but it is nowhere near crowded as a place of this type would be in London for example. Will definitely be back!

We had very high expectations to visit this museum. We could find the place with difficulty and when we got there, we only found a construction area. It was in June, Unfortunately, I don't know about further developments since then. Why I gave this very low rating is that it was impossible to find any information about the construction and the museum on the internet, so we went there after in vain. It was a great frustration. Can anybody tell me when the museum will reopen?

One of the best places to visit with your friends in Bratislava, unfortunately under construction. The exhibition of Jiří Načeradský is great. We enjoyed the paintings, but I miss the coffee bar and possibility to walk around the island where is a park with statues. We used to sit outside and watch the Danube river. Look forward to the reopening.

Don't kill yourself to get there. It is basically a construction zone in the middle of nowhere. Nice to take the hourlng weekend boat, leaving Bratislava at 2 pm, returning at 4.30, but there is nothing to do there after you have spent 30 mins looking at the new exhibit featuring dramatically grotesque and Kafkaesque works by the late Jirí Načeradsky. Fortunately I found a free city bus and got a nice trip back, saving me from what I believe would have been a tedious 90-min return voyage. Grand reopening in September.

Visitied many times, this is one of the best gallery, very nice place surrounded by water. Helpful, friendly staff, after visiting the gallery, you can walk around building (many sculptures). Coffee bar inside.
