found it and was well worth it.We didn't see any remains from the bridge builders wife but had nice photo calls on it and it looked great with the herd of sheep crossing it too

This bridge was originally built in 14th century. Just dry stones. A marvel of the stone mason's craft. Worth searching it out. It felt wonderful to walk over this bridge!

Worth a visit on your way through, nice new road to get there then track ,we got out and did small walk while we were there.

RedQuince

16th century - probably - bridge that provided a crossing point on several routes. Now it is right next to a surfaced road that leads from the main road. The construction uses a 'keystone', which is interesting to see. You can still walk across it although the surface is very uneven and of course there is nothing but common sense to stop you falling off!

PGBDK

You will need a rental car to find this place, but it's a magnificent elegant piece of architecture.

It was built by Gatelouzi between 14th and 16th century and its height is 8,5m.Tradition says that the chief craftsman's wife was built in it in order to be strong and stay steady in centuries. There are two ways to reach there:a) You drive through Ag.Paraskevi village. At the end of it, you'll see a faint sign writing 'To Napi-Mantamados'. You turn left and in about 200m you turn left again in a road of soil. You'll see the bridge on your right in about 400m.b) If you stay in Molyvos or Petra you follow the road to Kalloni. There is a sign on your left (about 10 min driving from Petra) writing to Ag.Paraskevi. The road is not very easy because it's all made of soil and winter rain has ruined it in several spots, but nature all around is beautiful and very characteristic of Lesbian ground. You drive straight ahead for about 2kms and you find the bridge on your left.In the end of March that we visited it there was plenty of water running, wild flowers of all colours sent their aroma, birds were singing for the sake of Spring, small turtles were calling their mate at the river shore, sheep were grazing fresh grass and the whole scenery with the stone, bow-shaped bridge was like a live painting in front of our eyes.
