Just a short drive off the main road,Trentham Falls is a great peaceful spot especially after a reasonable shower. The flowing water over the rocks is a fantastic sight. On weekends it can be overpopulated by foreign tourists but during the week it's a nice little stop off on your way to Daylesford, etc. Via the alternate route. Check it out !

Went to trentham falls yesterday, was a great day out and it was busy being holidays. Because of the recent rain there was a small amount of water rushing over so made for some nice photos. Abit disappointing that they don't allow falls access anymore.

The falls need a good stead rainfall to reach this spectacular best so pick your time to visit.the sadness is that the powers that be are pretty slack on maintenance and the falls do need a fair bit of care and attention.they could be very good if the maintenance and landscaping had sufficient priority.

Such a beautiful place. Especially if you have weather as nice as I did! We stopped at 'Chaplin's' for lunch and I also highly recommend this!

Have been to Trentham Falls on my last two visits to Daylesford. One after and during heavy rain cycle and this week after a dry weekend but rain last week.Falls are located only about a kilometre from the main road to Daylesford or Woodend.Falls are located about 150 metres from the carpark down steps or a slightly longer path with no steps. There is a viewing platform where you can see to the bottom of the falls. This entire area is a pleasant day out, not far from Melbourne, plenty to see and do.Would recommend the falls as a stop.

It comes as bit of a surprise to find this water fall tucked away in Trentham. The flow it's self is of course more impressive after rain, but even just the geological structure of the falls and the cliffs are really interesting. The is an informative sign that explains what your looking at and how it relates back to ancient lava flows in the area. So if you are going to the town of Trentham, which it's self is enchanting, or going past on your way to Kyneton etc, make the effort to pop into the falls(15 minutes there is probably plenty if you're not going bush walking too).

Having visited Melbourne several times before, we were searching for somewhere new. It was quite by accident that I found this, described as "Victoria's highest waterfall". It's about one hour's drive out of Melbourne and worth every minute of that drive. Fortunately we used Google maps to get us there as the only sign we saw for "Trentham Waterfall" was about 1km from the actual waterfall. However, having got there it was incredibly impressive! There are viewing points and a path leading to the bottom of the falls, where you can feel the spray on your face. The day can be rounded off with a trip to the Redbeard bakery in Trentham for some of their legendary sourdough bread and a drink followed by a visit to the very peaceful St Erth gardens in Blackwater. All in all a good day's trip.

Trentham Falls, a few kilometers from Trentham township, just a short stroll from the car park. Well worth a detour, especially after rainy weather

I am a keen photographer and decided to take several shots. The steps/path down are graduated but you need to be able bodied to enjoy the falls.

Visit Trentham Falls after a rain. It is amazing that this huge waterfall is just off the main road to Trentham. I had lived in the area 8 years before I took the turn off one day and now visit regularly. Certainly one of the least promoted hidden treasures in the area. There's nothing else much there - just a place to admire on your way through.

The Falls are easily accessed by vehicle to a carpark then a short 50m walk to viewing platform. Falls are almost always running and drop about 25M. Area has Toilets and picnic tables. You are no longer allowed to go to the bottom but many do. The path is steep and a bit slippery that way.

this is the longest single drop fall in Victoria and easily found by car from the pretty arty town of trentham. It is in a state park and is free ,there is a big car park and picknick facilities.Access is via a short walk along the top of the gorge ,unfortunately you cannot go to the foot of the gorge or under the waterfall. It is a short visit and can be combined with a visit to the old railway station and a walk along the domino trail

Despite the fact that the falls is out of bounds, it is quite a picturesque little site. I recommend the visit as this falls is the highest single drop falls in the state. Still, access would be nice (Parks Victoria).
