I think the title say's it all, but it is a spectacular resort with a lot to offer. More adult community than little kid's.

this is an easy to follow trail, not very long, easy and you walk close or on the mangroves. A stop at Biras for lunch is extra special.

We really enjoyed hiking around these trails, they were fun. We found a couple geocaches in the area. The views are great, and the trails weren't too difficult. Make sure to bring sunscreen and water as it can get quite hot.

We have hiked all the trails at Biras during each of our 5 stays at the Biras Creek resort. We work our way up from the least difficult (designated as 1 iguana) to Alvin Heights which is the most difficult (designated as 5 iguanas.) We are now in our late 60's and we enjoy this modest, but challenging fitness test. The sights are progressively magnificent from the Rock Terrace trail, the Orchid Trail, and the Alvin Heights trail.

We came to hike the trails mostly just to check the place out and to find some geocaches hidden in the area. A nice free ferry boat ride across, we hiked around the resort and up the orchid trail. Steep climb and way down, but good views--saw a turtle splashing in the bay below. Bring hats, sunscreen, tennis shoes, and plenty of water! Some neat plants, flowers, cactus, lizards too. Neat that the resort offers so much--tennis, horses, beach, pool, bikes, trails just to name the things we saw as we walked around.

Four of us hiked up the mountain to the south of our mooring to Lover’s Leap. The challenging hike took 90 minutes up steep and rockey paths through desert plants, past a couple of dead goats to spectacular overlooks of Brechers (Berchers) and Soldiers Bays to the east. Ed, or leader, kept lying to us about us being at the top, when we had yards and yards to go up and up! It was worth the views over the bays to the north and east and the sea to the south. It was like climbing through the desert with cacti everywhere. Wear good sturdy sneakers, no flip flops, take a small bottle of water and hike early in the morning.

We had read about the trails at Biras Creek and couldn't resist. Before heading on the trails we stopped at the reception desk in the main hotel building and spoke with a very nice woman with a British accent who graciously supplied us with a detailed map of the trails and the resort and a brief explanation of each trail. We weren't staying at the resort so we thought it was especially nice that this lady spent some time with us, not that they seemed overly busy at the resort. We chose to do the most challenging trail, Alvin's Heights. It is a very steep trail in spots and is primarily in the sun so expect to sweat a good bit. We went at about 11 am and it was hot! The loop hike up the mountain and back down was listed as 75 min but was more like 1 hr if you kept after it. However, we skipped the spur trails including the one to Lovers' Leap. That sounded too scary for us oldies. We also walked the trail to the beach at Deep Bay and that was nondescript even though the map listed it as having beautiful flowers and impeccable landscaping along the way. All we saw was a salt pond and a horse corral. No flowers and no landscaping. But the beach was nice and the resort overall is beautiful. Very quiet place and the people are so friendly. Everyone who went by in little golf carts said Hi! Take some time and do this if you like to hike. You can't spend all your time in the water.

good walk to start the day!! nice view throughout a few snakes and spiders webs!!! well worth doing if you are staying in the area,

We wonder what Biras Creek is like during peak times because it seems deserted the few times we've been on this hike. Rumor has it they didn't want outsiders visiting but the trails are open. There is a short cut back to the Bitter End.

Great views from the top, interesting topography and vegetation. Can be very hot also, bring water! more than one trail allows for varied duration, go early in the day.

They have said for years that this part of the Mt would be developed. It is a great view when you get to the top but make sure to wear closed toed shoes as there are lots of cactus. Also take plenty of water and avoid going in the middle of the day. Great for sunset!

nice trail with lots of rocks and boulders to climb over

Biras has several trails that you can look up online and print out with distance and time needed as well as difficulty. We had a great time hiking.
