We have season passes here. It's a very nice place to go with the family. It is great to have it so close to our house. Good family times.

I normally take my family to this water park at least once a year. It has a nice variety of rides for all ages. A spray area and small slides for toddlers in addition to large slides for adults. The best part is the wave pool. Park has life guards stationed threw out the park. Staff are friendly and helpful. Additionally has a gift shop where you can purchase a locker to put your personal items for a small fee. The staff in the gift shop are extra helpful and is the place to go if you need anything or if you want to ask questions. 2 separate areas to eat and the food prices are not bad at all. The price of admission is reasonable priced but a 2 day pass is for sure the best deal. I have been visiting here for at least 15 years and have never had a bad experience!

We liked Venture River because of the size of the park and the fact that it was not crowded. We were able to let our older kids, ages 9 and 11, go off on their own some and still be able to find them if we needed them. Slides were not busy at all, which is good and bad since my son had been down each slide atleast twice within the first hour or so and was bored. Teenage lifeguards were laid back and didn't get involved much. They seemed to be more worried about who was stationed where and when their next break was. Tubes were heavy. Even though I didn't go down any of the slides I had to carry the tubes up about half a dozen times for my wife and kids. My 3 year old loved riding the Twin Twisters, but after rolling the tube/raft up the hill 3 or 4 times I was wore out. Needs to have more shade and better seating. Plastic lounge chairs are not very comfortable or stable for heavier people. Kids area was disappointing and it would have been nice if they atleast allowed drink coolers in the park. Cyclone tube ride was unique and was the highlight of my wife and my 3 year olds day. Park is clean, but older. A little pricey for what you get. We all had a good time, but will probably not go back. There are several other waterparks within the same distance that run close to the same price and have much more to offer.

The park itself is just ok. The rides are old & the tubes weigh a ton and must be packed up flights of stairs. It's ungodly expensive before 3 pm and you can't bring in anything to eat or drink, which means after shelling out around $70 for a family of 4 just to walk in, you then have to buy overpriced, tasteless theme park junk. The park is staffed by teenagers. Every single one of them acts as though they are doing you a favor by being there and you are interrupting their dating service. Some of them are downright rude. They stand off to the side and refuse to turn their hands to help the guests that are paying their salaries to do anything.Bottom line, it's overpriced with snotty help and if you aren't in excellent physical shape, you will be sore and exhausted before you get through the first hour. My advice? Skip this place.

If you are looking for someplace to cool down but dont wanna go to lake this is the perfect place, lots of rides and plenty of places to relax, teenagers were never bored.

Venture River is a nice clean waterpark with slides to suit all ages and senses of adventure as well as a lazy river, wave pool and cyclone pool. Because it is in a rural area the lines are not long when compared to water parks in bigger cities and those attached to amusement parks. It is well maintained and the staff are great. My husbands company has our annual picnic there every year and everyone has a good time. For company outings and family reunions they have pavillions that you can reserve and they let you bring in your own catering. I look forward to this every year!

We stayed at the Buzzard Rock Resort located in nearby Kuttawa, KY and planned to visit this waterpark. We spent the day out on Lake Barkley fishing and pleasure boating on the Pontoon, and then visited this waterpark at 3pm two days during our weeklong visit. The waterpark has a half price deal that starts 3 hours before closing. My kids and I found that 3 hours was the perfect about of time to spend at the waterpark after a day on the lake. The waterpark was VERY clean, and had plenty of ride options available with very little wait times. Will definitely be back to this waterpark, it is a very well run and clean operation.

If you don't like to swim in lake water this is the place for you. The wave pool is very big and you can grab you a raft and just ride out the day on wave after wave. My one complaint is the rafts I don't like them. The only kind they have is like a inner tube. I'm a big girl and I don't really fit in them. And I would prefer a flat raft to lay on in the wave pool. The price is a little steep for low income families. Of which I am one. So I don't get to go as offen as I would if the cost was cheaper. But it makes for a fun day. The food is good Lots of stuff in the gift shop. It is nice that they have key locked lockers for your stuff. For those that live in the area or plan on being her for a whole summer the cheapest way to go is to by a season pass. Save up during the winter months so you can buy it when the park opens. They have several rides or slides. Be ready to clime a lot of steps to get on them. And there is always the Lazy River. It's nice to just float a long at a slow pace and enjoy the water. All in all it's a nice way to spend a day.

I buy my grandchildren season passes every year, we love it the staff are always nice and there's plenty of slides. It would be great if they had some type of conveyer system for the large tubes, they are very hard to handle

We have 2 boys and liked that there are a lot of different slides and other water activities to keep them having fun all day! We didn't like how you had to carry the really heavy rafts for The Cliffhanger and Fumbi up the hill. The kids needed us to do it.

My kids loved it! Will be back. I loved the lay out and the kids loved the wave pool. The food was pretty good. I went Down two slides and they where really good

All kinds of rides and slides. Restrooms were some of the cleanest I've seen. I recommend and will go back.

Lots of variety in rides. Took a family reunion here once. Great times. Something for everyone from lazy river to the big slides (that I chickened out on haha). Highly recommend!

If you go before 3pm, admission is $23/adult. After 3pm (closes at 6pm) it's $11.50, which is more reasonable and 3 hours should do it for you. Despite high admission, the food is reasonable. $4 for a grilled chicken salad, for example. We went on a Friday afternoon with our 5 y.o. They have a nice splash pool and slides for toddlers, but you'll want to watch your kids as the lifeguarding isn't adequate for kids eager to push each other down slides. The lazy river and wave pool are nice for kids or adults just wanting to soak in the sun. While the pools were somewhat crowded, the wait for the slides wasn't bad; there was no wait at all for the highest slide and tube slides; both are fun. We were able to take our 5 y.o. on the Twin Twisters in the family raft, was great fun. I got blisters on my feet from just a little walking on the concrete without shoes...take aqua socks! If you're spending a few days at LBL, this is one of the truly fun things for kids to do, so check it out some afternoon.

Sure, this isn't a HUGE water park like Splashin' Safari or Blizzard Beach, but it still has great qualities! The rides have thrills and the pools are great fun! This is a great place for a church Youth group to go, or just a "bring your family and friends" place, because this is one relaxing and thrilling place to go! Best Waterpark in KY!
