Province Lake Golf has a great location for golfing and relaxing. Recommend the restaurant for good food and reasonable prices especially on Fridays for the fish fry and they have good drinks.
We have previously spent many afternoons and evenings at Mulligan's at Province Lake Golf , however, that will be changing. We were excited to take friends there during July 4th week, only to learn that the chef and kitchen staff had recently left. And the food reflected the change. We were embarassed by our orders. No more pulled pork or chicken. Very limited menu (pub menu) for entire restaurant. I ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich, which came out with chunks of chicken, topped with squirt of BBQ sauce. The french fires and fish were overly fried. My friend's lemon meringue pie had obviously been sitting for a day or 2 - the meringue had shrunk to a small covering over the lemon. The place is lovely; hopefully the owners can recruit (back) great staff and chef. We'll try one more time....
Went for an early year round of golf. They just opened, not many other courses open. Everyone was super welcoming, golf course is nice, not overly difficult but still challenging. Food at the turn was excellent for pub food. The smoked chicken and pork sandwiches were fantastic.
Everyone should play golf here. A great course to have fun and see nature at it's finest. A wonderful day to share with friends.
A very legitimate 18 hole golf course ranked in the top 100 in New England for women to play. But a course not only for the ladies but the guys as well. Course straddles Maine and NH with several holes with Province Lake views. Greens fee and cart cost a little steep for the area but not ridiculously so. Course is in great shape with full service driving range, putting green and beverage cart on the course. Post golf - great little antique bar, popcorn machine and outdoor patio or the dining room for full service meals. Food is very good and well priced. A new amenity for the winter months will be indoor golf - two machines to play 18 with your own golf clubs - really cool. Highly recommended.
The views are beautiful from the course on the front nine. It is very peaceful and not crowded on the course. The restaurant has surprisingly good food for being out in the middle of nowhere and their burgers are awesome! They even have live music on the weekends in the summer months. This course is also good for young players and they have tees for them about 100 yards from the pin which makes it so much more pleasurable for kids that are serious about learning the game of golf. They even have summer specials on Wednesday and Saturday evenings after 5 where a family of 4 can golf for $20 walking. Can't beat that deal anywhere-and if your kids are too small to play, they even have daycare while you play a round.
We do not golf but love to eat at the restaurant. The food is good and priced well. Everything is very casual. We live locally and are glad they have a full service restaurant. Food up here can be a bit boring but they try to spice things up a bit. I had a very good tomato based fish soup. It was a welcome from the continues cream based soups. May I also say the the soup was big enough for a meal.
