My daughter and I (she's a student at MSU) attended the theater on Friday night while I was up for a visit. It is a beautiful old building and any seat in the house would have been good. We really enjoyed the show.

Yeah! It was our first trip to this lovely hidden gem downtown. We were immediately greeted by friendly and welcoming volunteers who set the tone for a place to feel at home. We did not eat, but the meal they served looked and smelled delicious. I loved the size...not too big and not too small. I also love the set up of tables. The actual production was clever and fun. I felt like I was in NYC sans the big city attitudes. We got the benefit of entertainment without the attitude! It is cozy and dark and looks like you can bring in your own wine.I think it would be a good place for a date night, girl night out or special birthday with friends. If you are tired of bad expensive movies with sticky floors but want to see an intelligent production, this is the answer!

If you are looking for a unique dining and/or entertainment experience, give the Backdoor Theatre a try! We attended "I'll Be Back Before Midnight" and "A 1940s Christmas Carol" as part of their dinner theater. We can't say enough of how much we enjoyed both performances. The meals were excellent and the servers were wonderful and very helpful. The plays themselves were a lot of fun, and it was wonderful seeing performers who poured their hearts into their work -- there is a lot of strong talent in Wichita Falls. We absolutely love Backdoor Theatre, and plan on seeing future performances. (Consider a trip to this dinner theatre for a unique birthday, anniversary or "just because" gift as well!)

Husband and I attended the play, I'll be Back After Midnight. It was well performed, and we enjoyed it with another couple who went with us. The theater is small, cozy and the acoustics are excellent. We were impressed enough to purchase tickets for our son's birthday present. He and his wife also enjoyed the performance very much. Highly recommended, fun.

Backdoor is wonderful. Wichita Falls has a strong community theater program. If you can catch a dinner theater production, that's wonderful, too.

I have not tried the dinner theater, but the expericence of the regular production was a good time had by all.

A great place to enjoy a play with the entire family. They even offer a dinner show....very good and lots of fun!

We were fortunate to see Backdoor Theatre's production of Spamalot. It was well-acted, well-directed, and well-done. Bravo Backdoor, and thanks for a wonderful evening!!

We had never been to dinner theater before, so we didn't really know what to expect, but we had a wonderful time! The meal was fine and filling, and they kept the iced tea carafe full throughout the show. I really appreciated that.The show was just wonderful!! In the cozy intimacy of such a small place, they really had every square foot of the room working for them, and it didn't seem too small at all. The actors were truly entertaining, and we had the best time watching this show!I do wish we were going back to that area; I'd definitely support them more.

The enthusiasm of the performers is unreal! You can see how much they pour their hearts and souls into the shows and it really pays off. Such excitement and perfect for a date night or a night out.

If it wasn't for a girlfriend performing in Kiss Me Kate- I might have never been to the Backdoor Theater- and that would have been a shame!!! The theater is full of personality and personalities!! The show was an absolute blast- with an amazing and entertaining cast! Wish I had more time to see more shows!

Great community theater! Excellent productions with a dinner show. Always a treat to see the big and small productions.

Local "little" theatre is alive and thriving in River City. Backdoor provides two venues, offering everything from intimate dinner theatre shows to full blown musicals. In addition to staging live theatre, however, the non profit organization offers theatre camps and summer youth musicals for young wannabes as well as workshops for aspiring thespians of all ages and experience levels.
