waterloo lake regional park

Small lake park, walking /jogging trail with restrooms ,swings ,horseshoe pits ,picnic tables with scenic back ground ,lots of trees and grass beautiful picture taking ,friendly atmosphere. Come join the fun!

Throughout our walk at waterloo lake we found numeros caves and cliffs and wildlife,we also saw a family of daddy long legs! :-)

I love this little park... It is more a trail than anything.. 1.5 miles. Many people/families use it to walk or run round the lake... The view is beautiful .... The terrain can be rough in several areas ... And in a couple of places it can be very muddy when it rains.... There is a resident flock of ducks and geese that is great for little ones to feed bread to ....

This is a beautiful park and walking trail around the lake. Please DON'T CHASE (including your dogs) the geese who graze in the park or around the area. We want them to come back. If they are abused they will just fly to another pond and we will lose an important part of our eco-system forever. Also, there is a leash law in Denison (including Waterloo Park). Be respectful of our treasure.

This park is really nice for a small town. They have activities for everyone and all ages. I love the trail its 1.5 miles long and a good portion of it is shaded I love watching the dragonflies and butterflies around. My dog loves to chase the herd of ducks.

A great place to feed the ducks. There is a playground for the little ones but does not have swings. Just take some bread for the hungry ducks! Enjoyed the day with my grandson here.

This small city gem has it all from a 1.5 miles walking path around the beautiful lake for those with no functional needs to a smaller .75 paved track down below the track which is accessible to everyone. Fishing, picnicking, horse shoe pits, barbecue grills and playground equipment. We walk here daily. Local residents help the city keep the area pristine by helping pick up immediately after any litter bugs. Bring something to share with the ducks! This lake is a beautiful bird haven...
