st. croix casino

The casino was FILTHY with RUDE and unkept employees. I would NOT recommend eating there! I have been a long time participant. The slots were so tight they squeaked and the new games they have installed are all alike. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.

Generally a smoky place with pretty friendly people. Hey, it's a local casino with locals making a living. It's not going to be Vegas when it's the only act in 70 miles. WI laws do allow for live craps and roulette and on New Years Eve, the bar does NOT close. They could really use a new hotel, because it's just beyond its time.

Liked that they rotate and offer new slot machines but dislike how bad of a sore throat I get from the smokers.

This is a so-so casino. The pay out rate here is not very good on the slot machines. However there are not many casinos in this area to pick from. The staff is friendly.

Me and my girlfriend love crab legs. Have been to just about every casino south of duluth for crab legs. Even driving up to 3 and half hours to get them is worth the cost. This is exactly the amount of time we drove to Turtle Lake last Saturday to try the King Crab Buffet. I never had king crab before so I was very excited. When we got there we discovered the place, like mystic lake doesn't offer buckets to throw the shells in. I thought that was weird given the size of the king crab I expected to find. Sadly the size of crab were pretty on par with most snow crab legs I had seen in a number of casinos. Some of the claws were a lot bigger than the snow crab legs I've seen though. The meat was only a tad sweet and little rougher textured. It was way overcooked leading to a rubbery shell that was even harder to crack than most snow crab. Unfortunately no snow crab was on the menu to compare.The rest of it was ok, but nothing special. The prime rib, me and my girlfriend agreed, was the best of all the casinos we had been to, but that isn't saying too much. The service was slow, and mechanical. It didn't help that the drink glasses they gave us were as small as the ones you get when you order a jack and coke.. We were lucky to go when the Casino dropped their price of the buffet from 30 to 19.95 a meal, because 30 would not of been worth the price given the small and poorly cooked "king' crab. Still, won't being coming back. I would much rather drive to the 3 and half hours to either grand casinos or the 2 and half hours to the monthly seafood buffet at prairies edge casino.

Wish the hotel was closer to casino. Also wish there was NO SMOKING in casino. That was pretty bad as far as smoke smell goes. The small restaurant was open till 3am and it was very good.

Great Hotel with pool,,,,wonderful gameing floor,,the best seafood buffet for miles,,,cold beer and cheap shrimp cocktails!!! Ice cream cones and late nite sandwichs:-)

The prime rib sandwiches used to be a reason to stop but now they are full of fat and paper thin cuts. Don't waste your time or money.

We have a lake home near by and visit the casino occasionally. Standard Indian Casino. Has all the table games you may be interested in along with the slots. AMAZING BREAKFAST BUFFET when they host it - they seem to be scaling this back quite a bit. Their shows seem to get better every summer, a fun place for an adults night out.

just didn't feel that clean to us. and we are really not that picky but just didn't care for it. the casino was very nice but we just felt we were at an assisted living center. and we are to young for that.

Had terrible service with the check in desk. Had to wait over 20 minutes before someone decided to show up. Someone cooked a pizza before I got to check in. The rooms were small and dated. I felt suffocated in the room

They have real roulette and craps. The smoking isn't pleasant but what casino bans it. Very polite workers.

Disappointed that the Casino still allows smoking, if you can find your way to the restaurant through the cloud of blue smoke, it's very nicely decorated. Servers were friendly. Food was good, overpriced for what it was. Had taken my staff there for a Holiday gathering, the Company had allowed us $15 per person, it didn't go very far. Back when it first opened, my favorite was the wild rice soup, was disappointed on this trip, wasn't very hot and didn't have the flavor I remembered. Would be a nice place for a special occaision.

The casino was horribly smokey, the food hardly par with the worst fast food restaurant and the machines are so tight you may as well as just give them what ever you planned to spend and walk right out!

Could hardly breath after being in there for a while. I think they need better ventilation or quit the smoking like the bars had to.
