I played this course on a whim due to funding a golf now discount on a rainy day. Wow! A beautiful course with amazing views of the foot hills surrounding San Pasquale.

If you're budget conscious this is a good option. This is an adequate course to play a round of golf, but the course is not particularly well maintained. One benefit is that due to a low number of people playing we had no one in front or behind us!

Eagles Crest is a beautiful course that winds through some pretty vistas in Escondido, CA. Houses often surround the holes, but they don't detract from the course's beauty. A par 5 on the back nine is particularly challenging. You hit downhill and then have to go over or around a big pond for your second shot. The green has a large trap in front of it. You must be accurate to par this hole. There are a number of hoels that have water adjacent to them, so focus is called for on an ongoing basis. Have fun!

EagleCrest has always been a hidden gem. Even back when it was a Callaway property. The course is challenging, beautiful, and full of friendly people. They are also a fantastic tournament sponsor!

The setting is lovely. The staff friendly. The course has a great layout through the canyons. But it isn't much of a test, and it needs a lot of maintenance, especially the fairways and bunkers. All of this is reflected in the very reasonable price.

We found this course to be challenging and fun to play. The greens were in great shape. The fairways were not that great but they have drought conditions here so that is to be expected. The price was excellent - $35 with a cart. Not much of a pro shop or food facility but the golf course is a nice course.

This course has possibilities but the condition of the greens are poor and have been so for a couple of years. With many other very good courses within 10 - 15 mins others are preferable.

The course layout was challenging and picturesque at the same time with a lot of trees lining the fairways. The major complaint I would have is that our foursome had some good drives/irons down the fairway but ended up with terrible lies because of the condition of the fairway; it needs some TLC (not terrible but maybe a "C" grade). The other complaint would be the lack of sand and consistency of the sand traps. Greens were nice and true. Can walk the course if you want. I would play this course again.

We've played Eagle Crest a few times in the last month. It has become one of our favorites. The course is in good shape and has enough challenge to be enjoyable without being burdensome.the club house is the only drawback to the course.

Average course and there is no real clubhouse. The course is just in in average shape. So a place to play golf if your close bye, but I wouldn't go out of my way to play here.

I found this course to be quite a little challenge, especially some of the back nine. I'm an 11 handicap so it needs to be a little challenge if I'm ever to get better.

We played 7 different courses in the San Diego area over 7 days and this was by far our favorite course. Handicaps in our group ranged from 2 to 16 and all felt this was the most enjoyable course we played. No, it is not a TPC or Torrey Pines, but it is a fair test of golf with outstanding condition greens (late March). And, although not particularly long, the narrow holes and driving areas make up for length. Only about 1/3rd the holes play along residences, and the rest of the course feels like you are out in the country. Course personnel are the friendliest that we found in the area and price we paid was a bargain.

This is an older course that has seen better days. Look to lower your handicap on this one.

Eagle Crest Golf Course in Escondido California has been under new ownership for the last year or so.....wow, what a difference! Although it does run through a subdivision, on most holes you do not notice or cannot see the homes. The surrounding views are spectacular and the weather is perfect most of the year. The conditioning of the course is now right on the money. Greens roll true and the fairways are cut in pattern regularly. There are always great discount programs going on and even the full price green fees are some of the best values in golf. There is a little of everything to challenge you here. Water, some narrow chute tee boxes and strategically placed sand traps. Quite a few elevated tees with great views. Overall the course is fair but there are some challenging holes. If they sunk quite a few more bucks into it by placing more flower beds around and lengthened some of the holes, it would be one of the top 25 course in Southern California. For the price of the green fees, it's already one of the best... period. See for yourself.
