I will always love walking around this park! Good memories when I was younger plus I still have my beautiful prom pics from there. Feeding the geese with my nephew just like I did is still fun

Rockford is blessed with a top park district and activities. Enjoy it as a park in summer, music concerts and in winter the festival of lights and the ice sculptures.

A beautiful park with a music shell surrounded by tall pine trees. The Park District has musical events during the summer months. Last year we enjoyed the Blues Brothers from Chicago. They drove up in the police car just as you see in the Blues Brothers movie. It was a fun evening. They have different types of musical events included the Barefoot Hawaiians, Jazz bands, Country, and Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. Don't miss the free concerts, a perfect way to spend a beautiful summer evening.

Went on a walk with some family who live in the area, and found it to be quite pleasant. Plenty of flora to admire, and it would likely be much nicer to look at in the summer months. A little bit of road noise with a rather large thoroughfare adjacent to the park, but a nice experience nonetheless.

great for walking the dogs...nice days provide boaters to watch...friendly people...any the green house.

Born and raised in Rockford--and back for a visit 34 years later to find the place just as good, and better, than I remembered. So glad to see the city continues to care for this gem.

Sinnissippi Park, and the bike path, is full of gardens, greenery, and plush scenery. In my experience, it is one of the greenest parks in Rockford. It is hilly, which means great biking and walking. You'll find many locals there enjoying all of what the park and the bike path have to offer!

I love the band shell where they have music a couple night a week during the summer and Imagination Station for kids on Wednesday afternoons.

This pack dates back decades, bring back many wonderful memories. Maintenance and improvements have keep it contemporary with today's activities.

This is a nice river park in Rockford. It is nice to walk the promenade and on occations there is this small hot dog stand who sells the best chili dogs I have ever had.

This is a very well conceived park on the east shore of the Rock River. It has a beautiful walking and biking trail along the river with many benches along the way to sit a peacefully watch the river roll past. Within this park is the Nicholas Conservatory as well as the trolley and Forest City Queen boat ride.

I frequent the Sinnissippi River walk about two-four times a week for the great pathways. Definitely a nice place to go in the daytime. Path is lined with benches, picnic tables and a couple small docks so if you want to walk long distances you can take breaks if need be. Depending on where you park you are close enough to walk to the Nicholas Conservatory which cost between $6-8 for adult tickets to get into the greenhouse. With free gardens and a beautiful pond which is home to fish and ducks, it is a great family-fun environment close to downtown and easy to get to! Have not gone alone at night due to personal safety concerns but overall it is an enjoyable place.

PROS: Beautiful rose garden by the Nicholas Conservatory; flower clock by the rose gardens; Rockford’s Symbol sculpture – at the time we visited, they had graffiti exhibits around it. Relaxing walking path beside the Rock River. CONS: none.

First impression was this place was clean and colorful. We did not go inside the green house since we came during the summer hot day and some of the Tripadvisor's reviewers said the inside was humid. The garden outside was really pretty. There were statues, small waterfalls and fountains, small path around the garden and a pond with ducks swimming.

Great place to relax and it's free.. You can do boat or people watching,jogging , biking etc.I went on a Saturday afternoon, to relax and reflect on The Lord of the Sabbath, and while doing that I saw 3 wedding parties taking pictures in the beautiful gardens.Just go and see for youself and make you own experience
