Easy access from car parks via a conveyor belt to the main lift. Enough room on the slopes for intermediate skiers to find enough challenge but best seen as a beginners paradise and lazy skiers mecca!

I visited the Sollereck to join the Neue Skischule (ski school) and it was excellent. There were 5 people in our group. Herbert was our instructor and he was very good. Enabling me to gain more confidence and I worked on developing my parallel performance. In my opinion the Sollereck Blue runs are more challenging than some of the other ski resorts, however they do allow you to progress quickly. I would defiantly recommend booking into ski school if you are a beginner or developing your skiing ability.

We had to visit this place because fellhornbahn (another location) was open till one stop due to snow in May in the mountains. So we took this as an alternative and OMG we were not letdown. The cable car ride was very good (both ways 15 Euros as compared to fellhornbahn's 26). Then the walk in the snow and some fun. A great time. Just 10 minute from Oberstdorf station. Made our flop looking trip as superhit.

What a brilliant ride for only about E7! (Sept 13). After a hard slog up over a snowy ridge many hours before, this was an excellent way of coming back down!And we returned 2 days later, catching the ski-lift up the majestic mountain. Definitely worth the money for the leisurely climb and the speed of the descent!!!I'm heading back to Oberstdorf next week and I will definitely be wanting to do this again!!

Each year when we return to Oberstdorf we have to go for a few rides on Sollereck. It is a great time, no matter how old you are.

It is a very leisurely, relaxing ride to the top of the Sollereck in the 6 person bubbles and the walks back down to Oberstdorf are not too taxing either, one of them via a lovely woodland walk to the Freibergsee. For the more adventurous, there is a far more difficult, steep walk to the Fellhorn or Kanzelwand, where there are cable cars for the descent, and regular buses back to Oberstdorf. The views from this walk are spectacular and well worth the effort, and the good views start after only 20 minutes walk from the Sollereck.The cable car ascent costs €10, €9 for the descent and €14 ascent and descent. However, this cable car is included in the Oberstdorf Sommer Bergbahnticket Inklusive deal, and is free when you book your holiday with some hotels or holiday apartments. Parking is free at the bahn car park.

Did a short course at the very end of the skiing season... Many rental places (we rented at Alpin Skischule - 10% Rabatt if staying at DJH), all very reasonable rates. Decent food options around here. A very pleasant place for beginners like me... definitely hoping to come back someday

Great little report but low. Gets hammered at the end of the day. As it is part of Das Hochste though, you can pretty much guarantee a good service.

We had a great time learning to ski in sollereck. the pistes are beginner friendly and the food and beverages are great. hope to come back again.

We had a great laugh on the toboggan! Fairly long queues sometimes, but moved through quite quickly. Had to prise my 8 year old away at the end of the day!

The Sollereck is easily accessed by free bus from Oberstdorf (if you have your ski gear on). The Sollereck has several blue runs and lots of ski schools so it is a good place to get lessons and to "warm up" too. There is also at least one red run. The area has one gondola and several drag lifts.There are also plenty of nice restaurants and places to eat on the mountain. On balance I would say it is not a particularly challenging place to ski but certainly good for intermediate/beginners.

Vom Kleinwalsertal mit dem Ortsbus zur Söllereckbahn, von der Bergstation führt ein wunderschöner Weg runter nach Riezlern, Ca, 2,5 Stunden. Nur der letzte Teil ist manchmal etwas steil, aber machbar, auch für ältere Leute.

Eerste dag helemaal in de mist, de volgende dag zagen we pas alle pistes. Heerlijke pistes om weer te beginnen verschillende berg restaurants redelijk betaalbaar. Betaald parkeren, 3 euro per dag. Ski verhuur Is erg makkelijk en goed.

Heel fijn skigebied met blauwe en rode pistes. Afwisselend en uitdagend voor jonge skiërs met de ouders.

Schöne blaue Piste entlang der Seilbahn. Wer morgens früh ist kann hier fast alleine die Piste runtercarven.
