One of the best trails I have ever been in Cyprus. Do not miss it if you are around. You will walk about 3-4 hours all around Olympos, the tallest mountain in Cyprus, and have the most wonderful views of the area around Troodos. Better to visit it in autumn or spring, but even in the summer, when I went, the temperature is not very high because of the height. Don't forget your pic-nic basket, water and a camera! It might be dangerous for little kids as the path is quite narrow and there is a gap underneath.

very well signed hike, just do it! Try also the other hikes in Troodos mountains like the Kaledonia waterfalls hike

Artemis nature trail is the highest in altitude trail in Cyprus and that alone says a lot, especially on a clear, sunny, October day! It offers breathtaking views of many corners of the island along a very pleasant trail which is relatively easy. Do wear a hat, trainers or boots and make sure you take water and a snack with you. Highly recommended for any hiker! Recommended visits: between April and November, try to avoid the summer months.

A great trail with very good views of the island as it goes around the highest peak of the island. An easy two hour stroll suitable for almost everyone. Perhaps it's better to visit in spring though when most flowers signposted are actually there.

well made trail that took in some lovely views, well worth a walk. Took about 2 hours of steady walking and a trip for asn icecream at Sun Valley Cafe a nice ending.

One of the bast trails in Troodos! Just make sure you have packed lunch and water with you as it may take long time if you love to explore plants!

This circular nature trail is one of the (unfortunately, few) reasonably well-maintained trails in Cyprus. Starting about 400m after you turn to Olympus from the main E910 road Troodos-Prodromos, it goes around the highest summit in Cyprus for about 7km. The whole walk is almost level and takes 2-2,5 hours to complete. The route is easy to follow, and the views quite impressive, especially on a clear day (not in hot humid weather). Keep in mind that although the trail runs through the forested areas, the trees are usually quite far apart and therefore appropriate sun protection is a must in the summer. Also, middle section of the trail goes along an exposed steep slope which might be uncomfortable for those with fear of heights. Depending on the day of the week, and time of the day, you can encounter quite large groups - so it is advisable not to attempt doing the trail in the opposite direction, it can become quite a nuisance! However, overall, Artemis trail is a good option for a day or half-day visit to Troodos.

This area is beautiful and I was quite surprised to see landscape that reminded me of the Sierra Nevada in California. This trail is easy since it stays pretty much at the same elevation and wraps around Mt. Olympus for about 7 KM. The only place on the trail that is a bit confusing, is by the ski lift. You need to walk around the ski lift and then find the trail again. I'm sure on a very clear day the views must be stunning, but I think that may be rare. We did not have clear views of the sea, so we really just walked through the our only views were those of the forest. The flora only changes a bit as your reach the Northern side of the Mountain. The wind blown trees make the surroundings look sort of spooky. When we reached this area the fog rolled in adding to this feeling. The trail also includes walks by a ski run and some 500 year old Pine Trees. The leaflet that you can pick up at the forest station at the village has points of interest along the trail, but they are not marked well and it is hard to follow. You can also pick up some fresh fruit from a vendor at the parking lot in the village. This trail was nice, but a bit boring after a while. I think another trail may have been a better choice for us, even though it meant a more difficult hike. It took us two hours to walk and we needed to move pretty quickly the last kilometer or two because a thunderstorm moved in on us.

When its hot elsewhere on the island, there's nothing better than to get up to the top of Troodos and walk the Artemis Trail. Its ideal for easy walking as its circular and takes a flat route right around the mountain. We were up there on Sunday at 7am and finished at shortly before 9 am before the sun started to get hot but you could still smell the scent of the pine needles rising from the floor in the still clean air. And on a clear day like we had, you see the sea in the south and the beautiful curve of Morphou Bay on the north. Lots of alpine type flowers including the purple orchid. I know friends who do this walk at night time during a full moon.

Did this trail in May when there were few plants in flower so it was a bit barren. Easy walk almost level by our standards (we have done some serious trekking). Had picked up the guide map from the visitor centre but were disappointed that many of the marker numbers were missing so we had to guess where most things were. Had 2 thunderstorms which appeared out of nowhere but managed to shelter near the ski lifts each time. We completed the 7km in under 2 hours walking - plus the stops for shelter.

Almost entirely level, in beautiful trees, with views. Very cold and windy in the winter, but we met noone else. However, I prefered another trail, the oneway descent from Troodos to Agios Nikolaos and Kakopetria, in an impressive gorge.

Another family adventure - had great expectations for this boulder which is wedged in the rocks.....however we were all underwhelmed when we got to it. Nice walk, bit of climbing - def. glad we went. And yes, do watch out for the rock, we missed some falling on us by fractions.

A 9km trail that calms you. Loved it!!! The view from this trail is breath tacking and it was easy. We also saw bikers on the trail.

There are 2 trails, both around the same mountain, artemis is the highest and describen as the nicest by many.In fact Atalante is longer and has almots the same view and much more to offer in botanic, trees,...

Since this trail follows the mountain's contour, it is relatively flat. It is easy to follow, and some direction signs are strategically placed. Benches are also available throughout the trail for travelers wishing to give their legs a rest.Slightly after the 3rd kilometer, a wonderful vista of the Trodoos range appears, which alone is worth the trip. We also loved the sparse pine forest surrounding the trail. At late October, there were only a few hikers sharing the trail with us, and most of the time we were alone, basking in the Cyprot sun and enjoying the sounds of the forest.
