Food in here is out of this world. Nice souvenirs but a bit pricey, Went outside onto viewing deck, wrap up well though, baby it's cold outside!

Stopped off here on a city tour for 20 mins. Views were amazing. Quite futuristic building. Food very expensive. Glad I have been. Wont rush back

This building's unique architecture and location on a hilltop make it visible from all over Reykjavik. It's an imposing structure, but the interior doesn't match up. There's a coffee place at the top.

It is about 2.5 km walk from downtown so great exercise. When you get there the place is a little sterile, but you won't find a better place to take panoramic photos of the area. The view is nothing short of amazing. It is free and there are plenty of restrooms. The cafe area was very messy when we were there. A must see.

Do not miss this place if you visit Iceland! It is included in the hop on hop of bus tour. The views are incredible and you can get some great photos. There is a cafe on the 4th floor where you can have lunch too!

.. and take photos of Iceland, although you need to have the weather on your side to make the most of it. Little Cafe on 4th floor had some enticing food.

I love to come to Perlan to wander around the external viewing platform. On a good day the views are stupendous. Watch out for the patchwork coloured rabbits! Also, the artificial geyser inside - good fun. The café is also very good.

There is really nothing here apart from the views. I'm sure they are great, but in cloudy conditions not worth the visit. It is quite a way from everything else and there is not enough here to make it worth coming. The revolving restaurant is open nights only and the cafe below was disappointing. Food was very basic. This was also the only place in Reykjavik that we encountered zero effort in customer service. If you looking to go here, make sure it is a warm and sunny day, and not too windy!! I shall not be visiting again.

We took the local bus from the bus station at the top of Laugavegur street, it only cost about £4 return. It has 6 huge water tanks surrounding a beautiful glass dome which has a very expensive restaurant at the top but the next floor has a really nice cafe at very reasonable prices. You can walk all around the dome and see absolutely stunning views. Well worth a visit.

I walked from the IcelandAir Natura hotel (across the street) to the Pearl one morning in between snow squalls. The hike up the hill was quiet, the wind had died down, and just beyond the last stand of trees was the Perlan structure itself. I went inside, saw the indoor geyser (impressive!) went up to the 4th floor, and outside to take pictures while the weather held, from all sides of the viewing platform. I would love to go back in the summer and have dinner in the revolving restaurant.

Great views of the city. If you have a CLEAR day, it's one of the best locations for a great view. Cafeteria style food is at the top, great place to grab a bit and enjoy the view.If it is cloudy, I would not waste my time.

I got some of my favorite pictures of the city from this viewing area. It is free and has plenty of free parking as well. We just went straight up to the viewing area to see truly amazing views. One of the locals told us that the views from here are as good or even better than from the church. We didn't go up to the viewpoint in the church because there was a very long line when we were there and we didn't want to wait or to pay. After seeing the (free) view from the pearl, i don't really feel disappointed or that I missed out on anything. We didn't visit the cafeteria or restaurant so I have no input on that. I can imagine that going here on a cloudy or stormy day may not be nearly as rewarding so I am glad that we were lucky to make it on a clear and sunny day!

The Pearl was on our tour itinerary. The history behind it becoming a tourist attraction was interesting & I totally loved the statues outside - they gave the place a funky feel.

We went to the Perlan by the local bus from the bus station at the top end of Laugavegur Road. Only cost about £4 return, 2 stops away. The Perlan has 6 enormous Water Tanks around a huge glass dome, with a revolving restaurant at the top. The restaurant is very expensive but the cafe on the level below was very good and excellent prices. You can then walk all around the Dome, some brilliant views. We spent a couple of hours there and really enjoyed it.

Disclaimer: my view was during a snow storm with strong winds. When you first see the building you can not help but appreciate the design. Unfortunately for me the interior of the building did not have much to offer me except the restaurant. I will just assume that it was a result of the storm and maybe preparation for an event .
