What a beautiful small garden with tons of amazing and beautiful hummingbirds!! The guy doesn't speak English but that's ok! You don't need it! Just marvel in the beauty of these amazing birds! 30 pesos, short walk from center of town and you spend like 15 min there, but you can spend more! So lovely! Go go go!

This is not really a "hummingbird garden" as many might expect. It is a lady's front yard in the middle of town. She has put out several feeders, and draws in hummingbirds. You need to identify them yourself. But...we saw the swallow-tailed hummingbird here! Beautiful. She hosts you for about 1 hour for the small admission fee.

If you like birding or want to enjoy a close encounter with birds this is a place to go. A nice activity for the whole family. Many free birds are always surrounding this garden mainly hummingbirds. It is wonderful to see them and enjoy life with them. The people encharged are always givin explanations of the names and particularities of each bird. They are feeding them for more than 30 years and that is the reason of the big number of them. If you have a couple of hours free after going to the falls, then this is good choice.

This little garden is an amazing place to see hummingbirds at arm's length. There is a constant buzz of activity. 7 different hummingbird species are constantly vying for access to the feeders, and are pretty oblivious of the people. The most amazing is the Swallow-tailed Hummingbird. There are also bananas and seeds put out for doves, beautiful saffron-colored finches, and bright yellow tanagers. You can get a good education on the different birds, too, by asking questions of one of the family members present in the garden. This family has been feeding the birds for 30 years, and the small admission fee helps pay for the bird seed, fruit, and sugar water they put out every day (and refill as often as every 90 minutes when the hummingbirds are hungry). Well worth a visit.

So cool to see all the hummingbirds! The man who owns it also knows a ton about hummingbirds, from diet to behavior and everything in between.

Everything about Iguazu amazed me, its just such a special spot on earth. This little spot is no different, really nice. I'd advise anyone who is visiting Argentina/Brazil to get to Igauzu

This little garden is owned by a charming lady who loves her little hummingbirds. She is quite knowledgable and shares information. The bonus was that her little twin 4year old grand daughters were there and we enjoyed our conversation with them. They spoke spanish and we spoke english. So delightful.

This is A quirky little place, literally somebody's front yard, but the number of hummingbirds is amazing. Hummingbirds, and other types of birds, of all different varieties come into the garden and float around from feeder to feeder. The owner is so super friendly.

It is only a small garden but hummingbirds are used to coming here for food. You can get quite close to them as they fly in and feed. Just sit down and relax and enjoy the scene, also great for photos. The owners are friendly and happy to talk about the birds (in Spanish).

I don't know how many birding days I've rounded off with a visit to Puerto Iguazu's Hummingbird Garden. It's always fantastic, with normally 7-8 hummingbird species in evidence and sometimes more - not to mention the tanagers, bananaquits, ground-doves and finches that crowd round the floor and fruit feeders. The secret, I found, is that this place has been going for thirty years! That's dedication! The family that owns the house and run the feeders are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to open at odd hours for birders to come in and see for themselves the incredible diversity of birds right in downtown Puerto Iguazu. Always great. Always recommended.Guy Cox

As stated before, if you have a few extra minutes in Puerto Iguazu this is a pretty cool place to visit for under $3.00 USD. Basically it is an older woman's hobby to attract and feed hummingbirds. When we arrived the gate was locked and no one was around. We started to depart and then we noticed another couple being let out of the garden by the owner. She let us in, took our $30 peso fee each and led us to an area that is probably 20 square feet with seven or eight hummingbird feeders. After that she just walks away and allows you to admire the birds and take pictures. Depending on how many people are there (we were alone), you can probably get in and out in 15 minutes or less with some great pictures and memories. You will run out of stuff to do pretty quickly in Puerto Iguazu so you might as well plan on this activity. She is closed from 1200 - 1400 hours daily. If the gate is locked during working hours, clap your hands loudly.

I have never seen a hummingbird in real life so I was keen to go here. They are amazing little birds,so fast and agile. If you have a good camera and a zoom lens plus a bit if patience you can get quite a few good photos here. The owner doesn't speak English so it is best to just sit and enjoy. It is 30 pesos each for entry and always appears to be closed as the gate is locked. Just knock on the gate and she will come out. Worth doing.

Most travelers to the Iguazu Falls would also like to see some wildlife. This is easier said than done around the falls with a few exceptions. But this little park in the center of Puerto Iguazu will bring you within a few inches of several colorful hummingbird species and some other birds that visit the feeders such as tanagers. It is a private effort but very much worth it. The entrance fee is minimal. The owner's son knows all the names of the species in several languages and is happy to point them all out to you (even in English). You can take amazing photos of these flying jewels. Spend 30 min to an hour. Don't miss it!
