The Terms were ok but I so much prefer natural ones…There is only a few swimming pool style hot water holes with lots of people. No towels provided and poor facilities. Only hot showers.Lockers but when we were there all taken.Only cool feature is the hot water dispenser as all local folks drink their mate.If I wasn't super sick and loved the soaking, I would have not went.Cool little simple restaurants around there. Last bus leaves back to Salto at 11pm.We just stopped in Salto for a night on our way up from Colonia. Otherwise not really worth visiting. Also hotels are expansive and hostels not really existent.

I spent three weekS in Uruguay and took my longest trip to a place 5 hours from Montevideo (the capital) via a charter bus (Nunez). It was a long journey by bus; however, after you arrive before 10pm you can enjoy a nice soak in thermal water before you have your dinner late. Then in the morning you can start your day soak in thermal water. I found it useful for aquatic physical therapy. The thermal water is really good for your joints especially if you have arthritis pain. The fee to get in is very cheap ($5) compared to other Thermal Spas I have been (namely Baldi ($34) in Costa Rica or a few hot springs in Japan ($50)). I would like to say there is nothing luxurious about Termas Del Dayman. There many thermal pools but only about two offer really hot water. This place is very family and kid friendly. I would love to spend more time in Salto (about a week) and enjoy the thermal baths daily. I think the experience is economical and therapeutic. Hope you have a positive experience as well. Happy Travels!!!

If you are looking for a place where to enjoy and to have a great time alone or with your family the Hot Springs in Termas del Dayman is the right choise. So many different options where to stay in Dayman. Acuamania Park is another big attraction for everyone. I highly recommend Termas del Dayman if you decide to travel to Salto- Uruguay in South America.

If you are in Northwestern Uruguay, you have to stop by for a soak in the hot waters of Termas del Dayman. This is the biggest and most-crowded thermal hot spring in the area, with multiple pools, but with a lot of the crowd sitting in chairs, on the lawn, sipping mate from a gourd. The facilities are clean. The water is hot, The entrance fee is cheap. Locker rental is available.

Had a nice experience with a bunch of friends. Spent a lot of time in it discussing about everything. Surely to do with friends or with your partner. Water is nicely hot, and there are various temperatures. Sad thing : no much variety in the sorts of pools.

Me and my husband had to stay in Salto for a night and decided to look for a hotel in las Termas del Dayman to enjoy the hot pools. We went at 8 o'clock in the evening and it was really nice because there were few people and there were areas where you could walk on the grass and enjoy the monnlight. There are several pools and showers and you can take your pick or try them all. It closes at 23:00 and if you ask at thr hotel you're staying maybe you can get cheaper tickets. We gkt them for 60 pesos instead of 80 or 90 (what you pay at the entrance). There is no possibility to pay by credit cards in restaurants, beware!

Overall it was nice but everything was looking a but old. Wouldn't have made the trip if we had known how rundown things were.

crowded and not elegant!! there are so many noise and simple houses; no expect a decent food!

The Termas del Dayman are located several kilometers outside Salto, but easily reached by bus. There are several complexes with pools, but the most popular are the "municipal" baths.Within the complex you can find several pools, with hot or cold water, and huge grassy areas to enjoy the sun. It gets incredibly crowded on week ends, when there can be a shortage of lockers.
