An extensive range of uniforms, photos, notes, medals, so on and so forth. The gentlemen working there were delightful, a must see if you are in the area.

An excellent museum full of military memorabilia. This mainly has on display private donations so it is very eclectic and has a personal feel. It makes for a very interesting hour or two in one of Bendigo's historical buildings. Staffed by knowledgable volunteers it only costs a gold coin donation for entry

The museum houses an eclectic and interesting collection of personal memorabilia sourced mainly from the families of former serving personnel. Well worth the visit to see what impact war has had on regional centres. Lest We Forget.

Well worth a visit.......a large collection of historical information, photographs and memorabilia..........we had no idea there were Italian POW's in Murchison, but apparently there were and they made various items for daily use which are all on display.

This is a very comprehensive museum run by volunteers, many of whom are war veterans and keen to inform visitors of the items on display. Much of the material has been donated from people of the local area and so it has special significance and poignancy. Knowledgeable guides are available, and arrangements may be made for school group visits. The guides also volunteer their services to local schools to inform the students of Australia's military involvements and legacies. Well worth a visit.

Great if you are interested in history - I enjoyed all the exhibits - lovely old building - right in the centre of town and near the tourist information centre.

This military museum is entry by gold donation and staffed by volanteers. It revealed to me many things I did not know and is worth a good hours visit two if you are on your own.You will learn a lot about how modern Australia was forged through military effort and sacrifice. The most interesting exhibits for me were firstly the soldiers stories in their own words and writing and second the photos found in a biscuit box on a farm recently which have been reproduced as a display including a video which lasts over two hours!

Saw the outdoor display about 10 months ago and it was impressive but the details escape me at the moment. Intend inspecting their unique WW1 photo display in 2014 - it is based on negatives found in a home in Bendigo about 2 years ago.

This is an excellent effort for a country RSL. If you like the history of Australians in war its great

This museum has one of the best collections of complete uniforms and equipment you will see representing Australians in most theatres of war. A gold coin donation is all it takes to enjoy and experience a thoroughly wonderful monument.

This Museum is the first I have been in that had such a great selection of uniforms and Kit. The different medals and information found was very interesting and a credit to the RSL Branch who look after it

Take your time and talk to these guys who have been there and done that. I would like to see the diaries printed and published

We thought this museum was fascinating. A wonderful collection, staffed (on the day we visited ) by volunteers. Great way to obtain insight into Australia's history. Allow a minimum of 2 hours, longer to really appreciate it. Entry by donation.
