stoney creek farmstay -trailriding day tours

What a wonderfully relaxing retreat our family experienced at the Cottage, Stoney Creek Farm Stay. My 9 year son enjoyed the creek walks exploring water holes, taking a swim, catching small critters before releasing them and lots of beautiful butterflies. The resident cattle dog stayed by our side on our adventures up the creek during our first day. Deb cooked up a storm at the homestead serving up a wonderful meal of roast pork and vegies before Steve mentioned Thoughtfield Therapy what an amazing concept working with acupressure points. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and a fantastic affordable location to unwind and relax. Love the creative wood work that has been crafted by Steve himself, job well done.

What a fantastic place to stay. From the drive in you feel you are almost alone in the world yet you are only about 30kms away from the busy little city of Mackay. The cattle dogs are the first to welcome you looking for a new person to pat them. Debbie and Steve make you feel welcome and are fantastic guides on the horse back rides. The horses are beautiful gentle animals and are obviously much loved members of the Family. You can lay back in the evening looking at the stars having a cuppa brewed on the campfire if you wish or enjoy the privacy of your own little bush home while you listen to the sounds of the bush. My wife and I treated our stay like a second honeymoon and would recommend the Stoney Creek Farm Stay to Families, couples and anyone who loves the Australian bush and peace and quiet.

During my travel true Australie I stayed at Stoney Creek Farmstay. What a wonderfull and peacefull place! It is so nice and quite. The only thing you hear are the souns of nature. I stayed at the stable. A really special place, with a great view on the property. The 3 hour horseride was amazing! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I really enjoyed riding up the mountain. The horses were very friendly and easy to ride. Defenitely one of the best rides I ever had. The owners were very nice, we had a good laugh :) I will defenitely recommend Stoney Creek Farmstay for everyone who loves to stay in a natural environment and loves horse riding.

My children age (9) and (11) and I have had the best experience at the Farm Stay. Cheap accomadation, great meals, friendly and helpful owners (Steve and Deb). We had a blast on the horse rides, even though I was scared for my kids, Debbie and Steve made me feel at ease. We would recommand this place to all. We will be back to visit soon..

Firstly let me take this opportunity to apologise, i am so sorry if you were subjected to what you claim, that would have been terrible, i'm not sure what was going on there, but let me reasure you we take your comments very seriously. I am not sure when that was, what time of the year but when ever our horses were in need of vet care they get it we never neglect them as you can see from previous reviews. Our horses are not only our business but they are our mates, we never neglect them although i do concede sometimes i could trim their feet more often, we don't shoe our horses they are bear foot trimmed, and depending on what time of the year, wet or dry, as to how much we trim them.
