Mille-Iles River Park is mainly composed of a series of islands on the river between Laval and the North Shore. With a growing interest in kayaking, my wife and I went there this morning (12 minutes from our home and had a great time paddling the calm waters amidst the islands in the company of ducks, geese and other kayak and canoe enthusiasts. Rental fees for watercraft (kayaks, canoes, peddle boats, rowboats, etc) are quite reasonable and there are no parking or admission fees. As an added bonus, you get to see Celine Dion's mansion, the only property on Gagnon Island (currently on the market for $25.5M for anyone looking for a castle). We loved our time there this morning and will return as often as we can while kayaking is in season.

I go there a few time during the summer rent a canoe and paddle around the island - bring a picknick and enjoy the place

I enjoyed the tranquility and pathways on the islands to stretch our legs after canoeing for a time.

Usually I visit this park in Summer (rent kanoe or kayak) and in Winter (skating). First time I was there in Spring. Of course, not too many activities, but so quite and so relaxing just walk and sit on the bench. I will try to visit it more offen

A peaceful oasis. Benches to sit and look at the river flowing by, or slowly walk along the paths.

Always a nice place to visit. In winter, you can walk, ski, skate and slide in the park. In summer, rent a canoe and go around the islands. You can even stop and walk on some, and learn about plants, animals and birds around.

This is a very nice park along the river; you can rent small boats/canoe/kayak and explore hundreds of islands on this calm river; you will encounter a lot of wildlife, including large birds, turtles, ducks, fish, eel, etc;I recommend the "Bayou", a place to navigate in a kayak/canoe in a swamp-like atmosphere, without the aligators...
