The Ile de Orleans is a very beautiful tour to be done if you are in Québc city. It is a o'seis of beautiful historic homes and farms. The Cidrerie is one of the interesting points to be visited on the island and offers great and delicious apple-based products, which can be tasted.

We rented a car to go to Ile d'Orleans and explore. The scenery and houses were charming. We stopped at open stores and wineries that had tasting rooms. They were close to closing time, but the woman took her time to explain their products and let us sample the ciders and pates. They were so good we plan to order on line.

Stumbled upon this little gem while driving around the island. I consider myself a connoisseur of ciders. I really liked the way they make all of the products, from mustards to jellies to duck pate, with local products from their orchard. Some of the products are quite creative, like a mustard flavored with maple syrup that is similar to honey mustard but with a nice maple taste to it. For a small fee you are able to taste all of the products. The young man working there gave a great presentation, explaining the highlights of all of the different hard ciders and what they might be well paired with. This tasting is worth your time and money.

It was a pretty rainy day. We stopped here, being greeted by the owner, which very quick, in kinda hurry explained that we have to pay 4 CAD if we want to join a tasting. Anyway we had the intention to pay, but I felt a bit rushed, because I like to take my time checking what is on the shelves. I was driving I did not tried the ciders, but my partner enjoyed them very much. The mustard collection is great . The jellies and jams are ok. I am coming from an area where it was a mastering in all kind and types of jams and jellies, so nothing can really please me in this regards:-) Anyway is a nice experience, nice view from outside from the terrace, but for me it was very unpleasant the rushing of the owner to pay, way to commercial. After we stopped at Billodeau across the street, were was much more enjoyable.

We were greeted by 2 friendly little dogs. We stopped here as we were sampling our way around the Ile d'Orleans. For a small fee you can sample all of the products produced here. They have a guided tasting of their ciders and duck rillette, but you can enjoy their mustards, gelle, chutney and vinegars on your own. Everything was tasty and we didn't leave empty handed. Domaine Steinbach has a lovely little garden area and a nice view of the St Lawrence.

From the moment we walked in, we felt very invited by the staff, even though more visitors were starting to pour in. For only $4, you can take your time and try lovely mustard samples, a variety of jams and some sweet and interesting combinations of jellies. A variety of vinegars are available, too. Afterward, sample some ciders, decide which of all you sampled was the best - and buy some! Enjoy a glass of cider while overlooking the beautiful panoramic of the land, take your time and enjoy!

We happened to stop here while exploring the ilsand and boy were we glad we did! We had some samples of ciders, mustards and different preserves that were delicious. Walked away with a few bottles of cider and some duck terrine. Delicious! Despite what I read in other reviews, there was no pressure to buy. At all. It is clearly a family run local business, they are proud of what they do and their product. We sat and had a delicious sandwich on the balcony while sipping cider and overlooking the most spectacular views. Will visit again!!!!!

Almost 20 people digging with popsicle sticks at a great variety of jelly and mustard products, some quite good, very sweet ciders, not to our taste, the pressure to buy, quite pronounced. The view from the parking area out to the St Laurence was lovely.

We stopped here after a day spent biking around the Ile d'Orleans. For $4 per person, you get let into their tasting room, where you can try their various products--mustards, relishes, jams, and ciders. The cider tasting was done as a guided group tasting, and included some duck terrines. They offered service in both English and French. If time is limited and you can only stop at a few businesses during your time on the Ile d'Orleans, this one would be worth your while. I would have given them five stars if the cider tasting pours had been more generous, and if their prices had been more reasonable for their products.

After a morning of visiting Ste Anne de Beaupre we decided to cross the river by bridge (near Quebec City) and go over to Ille de Orleans. It was a bit rainy but we stopped at Domaine Steinbach on our drive. They had a great selection of apple based products from jams, relishes, mustards, ciders and duck pâté. The selection and variety was great as were the help. Our little French wasn't an issue as both young people spoke English. The young man turned out to be the youngest son of the owner of this farm. As part of their sales pitch they have a tasting of mustards, jams and jellies, relishes, ciders and pâté. Normally it is $4 per person but sine we had already purchased some jams and mustards he invited to try a free tasting. It was excellent and worth the $4. It's worth the stop on this country road to take a break and enjoy some treats a d the view.

I loved this place! From the welcoming mom and son duo to the beautiful landscape, and did I mention the sampling of their products! When you walk in, you're graciously welcomed and told that the sampling is free or there's a charge. We went in May, during their off season, and the sampling was free. They had over 35 products we could try, maybe more. From mustards to jellies to foie-gras to apple cider, it was just so yummy. We got our crackers and I tried almost everything, even all the mustards and I don't even like mustard. If there's one thing they really had going for them was their amazing hospitality! The son gave us a whole presentation on his foie-gras and apple cider alcohol. You just want to buy something after you see all the effort they put into their craft. And so I did! I purchased one of their marmalades, I believe it was their raspberry mix. I tried to not it eat it all so quickly, but I loved it too much. I also purchased a small jar of foie-gras and it was so, so rich and creamy. Absolutely delicious! Overall: Make sure to make a stop here while on Orleans Island. It'll be especially worth it if their sampling is free that day!
