The Covent Garden Market is a jewel in downtown London. It's been around since 1845 and after undergoing its most recent facelift it now combines a traditional Farmers' Market with an up-scale foodie destination. Begin by buying a cannoli from the International Bakery and pairing it with a fresh brewed coffee from Hasbeans. Now enjoy them while you listen to music from one of the several buskers who frequent the market. Check out the crafts, food stalls and flowers both up-stairs and down. In the winter the skating rink out front is busy with skaters. The rest of the year this outdoor space is used for selling local produce. If you pick the right week-end it might be the Italian or the Mexican Festival. At any time of the year it is a great place to people watch!

EVERYTHING under one big roof: sit down restaurants of every description and ethnicity, cheeses from around the world, excellent coffee spots, animal lovers stores, butchers, hard to find deli items, and worth-looking at crafts and goods. An excellent way to spend a morning, or afternoon. Parking is ample in the underground areas and I believe your parking chit is redeemed or reduced by patronizing various establishments (Waldo's has an entrance from the mall and validates your parking). Upstairs is a small theatre with good shows out on by student theatre groups. Washrooms are clean and safe. The Bud Centre and many fine restaurants are within a stone's throw of the Market. New to London? Go here first.

The coven garden market is a staple in London Ontario. The space is versatile and offers everything from shopping, restaurants, theatre and an outdoor skating rink. If you want fresh local produce the market is the place for you or you can take advantage of the homeopathic store if you're more of a naturalist. Unique gift shops that are often hand-made, excellent freshly ground coffee surrounded by flower vendors - that was my favourite spot. An the skating rink is a great way to enjoy the city in the winter while getting exercise.

I often go here for lunch, and when visitors come we take them here. It is a very interesting place to go with so many shopping and meal options. Love it!

Lots of different stalls and interesting food stuffs to be found. Also lots of crafters' wares.I adore Smith's Cheese .. such interesting finds (and lots of things from local dairies). Ditto for local farms and produce. Take away at lunch is your best bet as seating inside is limited (lots outside though). Chocolate lovers haven ... there is even a little liquor store/LCBO on site. Half an hour of free parking on weekdays means you can pop in and out easily to get a few things.

It is with great sadness that I write my honest opinion of the Covent Garden Market. Although there are wonderful Vendors in this Market - The Management and Customer Service I received was terrible and I will no longer be supporting this market or its vendors. I moved to Ontario last July and have been a great advocate of this market - There are many vendors that I love and have supported. I used to buy my groceries there - I used to take my family here from B.C - But I will not be doing this any longer. Recently I took my boots to be replaced at Kwiks shoe repair - not only did I receive terrible customer service from this Vendor, but as a young 24 year old woman - I had the Manager raise his voice at me in a degrading way in front of another customer. My boots took 9 weeks to be returned to me and they were still broken after I paid 130 dollars to have them fixed. When I went to take my complaint to the Market Manager I was shocked and truly saddened by the response I was given. The manager showed me little to no compassion and I left the Market in tears. The whole situation has made me decide that I will no longer support this Market until the Market decides to value its customers. As a young person who has tried to take steps to support local business, my experience at the Covent Garden Market has me shopping elsewhere. I truly hope that the management of this market can be restored, but until then I can't support a Market that prides itself on Community - for when it comes down to it they would rather lose a customer then help one.• • •

Lots of different shops/stalls with very good food and other specialities. Especially the stall selling organic meat is great - good assortment and very friendly service. The market is quite crowded at lunchtime as the take away is extremely varied and very good. There is a big outside seating area.

We stopped by the market around lunchtime, wandered the stalls and then chose from the many offerings for lunch. There are cuisines to fit everyone's preference and budget!

This was my first visit to this indoor market in central London. It is clean and modern and has many choices for visitors. There are food vendors representing food from all over the world, and vendors selling fresh food and produce as well as several selling fresh flowers and floral arrangements. There is a little bit of everything here so take time to wander around. There are places indoor to eat as well as tables outdoors.

Great food, you can eat from all sorts of vendors. The place is clean and has an amazing children's theater in it. Well worth the trip!

I love Covent Market any day of the week, but especially the outdoor farmer's market on Saturdays when in season. The vendors are great and it's our favourite place to come on Saturday mornings, esp. when there are musicians playing. Inside the market are some good options for produce, cheese, and fresh pasta. Alec's homeopathic store is also great and he is so knowledgable. The Indian food stall is great, and it's so nice having Petit Paris there now too with delicious croissants and baked goods. The ice creamery also has the best ice cream cakes as well as smoothies! The market never seems too too busy either, and it's nice having the upstairs to go sit too.

I can spell. The stone mason in London england could not or at least was so drunk he forgot the 'N' when chiselling the name-stone for this markets namesake. As a result both are mis-named.That makes no difference. What a great job Mr. usher has done over the years. No longer an antiquated eyesore the market has been reborn and is modern, clean and yet still a marvellous market for fresh produce and good fun for the whole family,

A great place to shop for food, have a lunch or snack and visit several venders displaying their wares. We go there at least 4 times a week around lunch time for soup and sandwiches. One vender has many different soups every day and boast they have 165 to choose from daily. You'll Enjoy it.

A bustling urban market with a wide selection of local fresh and prepared foods, health care, gifts, home decor, flowers, gourmet treats and more make this a great place to browse, shop and eat. Upstairs on the mezzanine there are tables and chairs where you can sit for a while, check out some local art, meet with a colleague and surf the net on free public Wi-Fi. Thursdays and Saturdays, from Mothers Day until Christmas, check out the outdoor Farmers' Market in the mornings/early afternoons. Local food artisans and farmers make it worth the trip!
