Smaller museum but lots of history and information. Worth it if you are interested in this stuff. Donations only....no admission charge.

For the historical buff this is an incredible sight with a ton of local history; docents who are very knowledgeable, and great staff. They make every effort to make it exciting but this is more a history buff museum than a great location to take the family, esp. younger kids. The museum is not large and much is display case oriented; reading based; and as such did not hold youth and younger attention very well.As an adult history buff I love it and will revisit often!

The museum is very informative about the wars that the Canadians were involved in. It also shows the transformation of the army in terms of equipment. Definitely a must visit if you are into military history.

It has all the boys toys you could wish for along with some interactive displays. The museum is well laid out with useful narratives were needed. For those who like such things an interesting way to spend time.

i was able to get a sense of the sacrifices and experiences my husband lived while with the RCR's for 5 years in the ate '80's, before I met him. The displays are extensive, some interactive, all impressive in their scope. Every proud Canadian should take the opportunity to visit the museum. Moving and memorable.

What a lovely museum of a Canadian military unit. The retired regimental staff person at the front desk was helpful and obviously proud of his regiment. He walked us through the first few exhibits and answered all of our questions.

This museum is a real hidden gem in London, as it is located on a Canadian Forces base. Recently renovated, it houses an impressive collection of relics starting from the formation of the Royal Canadian Regiment in 1883 up until more recent involvements in Afghanistan. There is something for everyone, even if you are not specifically interested in the RCR itself. A must see for any war history buffs in and around London. Oh, and did I mention that admission is free?

This museum is very well put together; it's very organized & the displays are very informative. I love going to military museums & I was very much impressed by this one (especially since entry is free!!). So if you're in the area, it's definitely worth popping in here for an hour or so. Even the area outside the museum (the military base + a memorial) is worth a look!

My wife and I visited in Feb/13. The museum was still being renovated but was 80% complete and was very impressive. It does a great job of displaying the history of the RCR and tying it in with the history of Canada. It does an especially good job of honouring it's past distinguished members. It is well laid out and leads you through an understanding of who the Regiment is. It stands as an important part of Canadian and local history.

Fabulous display and well put together. I find this whole Military Base intriguing. First, most of the building are now planned to be demolished--not this Museum though and thank goodness. This is a museum which has been present for such a long time and the displays were interesting and at time I felt I was back "there". Never ceases to impress me how our Canadians fought so hard and this definitely reflects this. More impressive is the age and "oldness" of this original Military building. I recall when we had tanks (back in the 90's) floating our streets as they went from one location to another in training. The museum if only one of amny building that stood in this area and it was a very active militray site. All too often I find that poeple tend to forget to visit this museum, but it is a winner and really part of London's history.

i have visited this museum many times and it is the best war museum in london.i reccomend this for everyone interested in war.this museum features guns from world war 1 and 2.it also features uniforms from both ww1 and 2.they have battle senarios made using clay and figurines .they have sections from war in summer to war in winter including all the gear they needed to survive the harsh winter days and nights.they continuously add more items from war.last of all they have a badge section featuring some of the badges soliders might recive and badges that very rarly were awarded to soliders.personnaly i love this museum and have visited it about 7 times it is a great museum.this museum is located 701 Oxford Street East and i encourage you to visit it
