As a lover of Craft beer and Cask Ale, Wellington's is right in my wheel house and they did not disappoint. While they do not currently offer brewery tours (I hope they offer them again soon!) they do weekly tastings every Saturday afternoon. I've been to the Satruday tastings a few times now and its always a great experience. First off.....FREE BEER! Sure its only a small glass and the limit you to 4 (I think it adds up to about a pints and a half) its still free beer. The part a really liked though is that they have a full "Pub" setup including a billiards table. If you cannot make the Saturday tasting their onsite beer store is open daily with plenty of options you cant get at the Beer Store or the LCBO, and a great selection of Brewery Shirts, caps, and glasses to buy for fans. If you love real ale this will not disappoint you.

Well organised visit part of a birthday surprise weekend. Experinced a tasting of all the beers available under the craft lable. Recommend the Wellington Dark as the most flavourfull.Only disappointment was the lack of my size in the tee shirts for sale.

I visited the brewery just to sample and buy some of the small-batch supPORTER. I've been a big fan of the County Dark Ale for a couple years now, and picked up some of those too. I packed the supPORTER and the County Dark's in my luggage as part of my relocation back to Vancouver; the beer is that good. I'm dreading the day I run out of my stock of Welly's.

Just passing by an stopped for the tour - Saturdays from 1-4It's good value for $5 pp and includes 6 tastings of all their beers (1/4 glass) and one full pint of your choice. And a tour. And munches. And pool table. The folks are very friendly and knowledgable. I liked one because they actually brew their beer here rather than having a showcase store and brew it elsewhere. Although I had too much to drink in one sitting, it was great and we went to nap at a park nearby afterwards

Wellington brewery were the ones to crack the Brewer's Retail monopoly 20 years or more ago and have kept up the good work with both excellent bottled and draught beer and, their specialty, Real Ales. The Brewery is small and holds events and tours but the piece-de-resistance is the Arkell Best Bitter real ale. It is an english style pumped bitter (cellar temperature and naturally carbonated so not fizzy) and as far as I know only available at the Woolwich Arms pub in Guelph. It is very authentic and something hard to get anywhere.Highly recommended

If you happen to be in Guelph, Wellington Brewery is a must. I live here, and my husband and I regularly go for fun events (tastings of new beers, tours, customer appreciation days). We highly recommend this place - the staff are great and the tours are informative. The beer is awesome. Even if you can't take a tour, stop in to the store for a few beers and some merch like T-shirts or glasses.

Show up Saturday between 1 and 4 and join the informal tour. You pay $5, which allows you to try all of their taps. You also get a plastic Welly mug to enjoy your favorite brew, not to mention the tour.

Wellington Brewery is known for its interpretations of traditional English ales. They are one of the few Ontario breweries to offer "real ales", that is, cask conditioned ales. My favourites are Arkell Bitter and County Dark, but all of their beers are worth drinking. They even do a very good lager, Trailhead lager. The best time to visit is for their annual Realist Party in September, where you can drink their excellent beer for free and get a free lunch and brewery tour to boot. Although we brought small kids with us, and they enjoyed the food, this is not an ideal attraction for small children, as they cannot enjoy the main event - the beer.

We stopped off at the brewery as the road sign mentioned tours on Saturdays. They gladly welcomed us in with a younger child and offered our son gingerale as we sampled many beers they produce. The tour guides were very hospitable and knowlageable of the beers brewed on site. Many people came in with young children and it was a real nice setting. The staff was also excited to reference the many beer festivals and other breweries nearby. It was really great for my son to see the equipment used to make beer as well as the canning process. For $5 entrance fee you get a lot of samples plus a mug to enjoy. An excellent tour to get familiar with the many beers they make so you can purchase wisely next time you visit or at a pub or the LCBO!!
