Centrally located on Tortola's north side, this is probably the busiest...

This is a very pretty beach, and good for swimming. There are a lot of small restaurants strung along the beach, where the food is OK and very inexpensive in comparison to other restaurants on the island. These have sprung up in response to the cruise ship visits to the island. Buses and open transport vehicles take hundreds - nay, thousands, of cruise ship tourists to Cane Garden Bay each day, deposit them on the beach for the day and then take them back to the ships in late afternoon/evening. It's not a pretty sight. Seems like most of the cruise ship vacationers are obese and have skin like tanned leather. And they're everywhere! Skip this place unless you can find a time when the cruise ships are not emptying their hulls - I don't know when that might be.

this is a great little place to find a mooring ball and go ashore to relax. Live music at some bars. Also a good place to re-provision

Cane Garden Bay is a fun little town on the other side of Tortola from Road Town. There's a coned-off swimming area and there are many mooring balls. Be careful where you tie up. Your dinghy could drift under the dock and be crushed under it by a rising tide.We ate at a bar called Tony's, but there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Myette's is a good place to stay, if you're not sleeping on a boat. It's hard to beat going to sleep under the moon and stars, with the sound of a steel band and the water lapping around you.

Nice clean beach. Plenty of places for food and drinks. Interesting ride to the beach. Spread out from the drop off point to make the most of the clear blue sea.

The transport to the beach is either by open sided bus or private taxi. It is a relatively short bay and can get quite crowded near to the main entrance. As you get further along it becomes quieter but there are less beds to hire. The water can be a tad rough for bathing at times depending on the weather and tide.

Beachfront, great people watching, good food, great staff, get yourself "on island time". Kareem and Valerie, it was a pleasure to do business, at your restaurant, bar, and excellent shop. Looking forward to coming next season, for an evening of music! Heard that Blue's band from Chicago, was "the bomb"! Happy Days! Susie and Heinz

Stopped in Tortola during and cruise and having walked age Mountain National park we wanted some relax time. It is a beautiful beach with an excellent selection of bars and restaurants. However it is also on the list of cruise excursions so was filled with guests all sporting their Cunard towels. Touristy but nice. Easy to get taxis to and from the cruise port. Please note Road Town can get busy with traffic and we were the only ship in so allow time to get back to your ship. Note. they are building a new cruise dock for even more and bigger ships! Hope it does not destroy the unique feel of the island.

great venue to relax and enjoy the beach. Smooth silky sand, wildlife, fish, beautiful sailboats anchored just past the swin guard lines....Plenty of food venues and drink venues on the beach. Really enjoyed the day. Vendors rent chairs for 5 dollars per day..reasonable..

Went as part of a cruise excursion. Nice clean beach. Plenty of places for food and drinks. I've been to Roadtown before but didn't venture from town before. Quite a ride to the beach. If you don't like roller coasters it may not be for you. Driver was knowledgeable, friendly and pointed out places of interest along the way.

Cane Garden Bay is a beautiful beach, surrounded with palm trees. You can find many bars where you can have drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. It's definitely a nice place to visit when you are in Tortola. The sea, the sunset and the palm trees really make it a special place.

Well worth a visit, was quite rough sea when we went but had been a storm but definitely would return. Beautiful white sand and blue, blue sea. 500 yards from beach is Callwood Rum distillery ...4 shots for one dollar ...rude not to try ! cheap sunbeds only 10 dollars for 2 beds.

After our third trip to the BVI's we finally made it into this bay. We tried to find the entrance between the reef on our last trip but couldn't see the channel markers. We were told later that heavy seas had washed them away. This time the wind was once again from the north creating huge rollers which the surfers thoroughly enjoyed but which were also sweeping over the dinghy dock. The only way we could get in was to go to the pier at the marina and climb up using a board that was nailed to the side. The walk around to the rum distillery on the other side took us past deserted car wrecks and roosters dining in garbage dumpsters. The distillery wasn't much nor was the glass studio that island tours were visiting. We had a drink at Quito's but service was poor. The most entertaining part of our visit was watching the dinghies approach the dock and try to figure out how to get in.

Lots going on here if you want or just laze about on the golden sands and cold beers. Lively bars, great Caribbean atmosphere, warm water, gently shelving beach and lovely surrounding coastline.

Very busy but beautiful bay with lots of little bars and plenty of cocktails with the Caribbean atmosphere to accompany!

Adorable cottages in a cute setting. Easy to get to know your neighbors as there are 2 per unit. Very convenient to the beach yet far enough from the nightlife to not be bothered by noise. Great value, clean and an accommodating staff. We occupied 3 of the 4 cottages with our wedding party. Everyone loved the place! I highly recommend it.
